hydro problem

i recently switched to a flood and drain table instead of soil, i set this up and put the water in the reservoir tuesday night so everything is pretty much fresh, im using 6x6 rockwool cubes that i soaked in 6.0 ph'd water for 24 hours. yesterday i noticed my water was kinda cloudy but i have well water so i kinda figured my water would not be clear but this morning i checked it and the water has a pasty film to it? what could this be?

do you have air pump keeping it aireated ? you got to keep the water circulating at all times

i would also drop your pH down to 5.5 as rockwool has a tendancy to make your pH rise when left to dry too long,

What nutes are you using? I read a thread a while back that someone was having a similar problem and it was cause of one of their nutes they were adding, as soon as they stopped adding that one particular nute, it stopped.

also i use nothing bigger than the starter cubes so you dont have a over watering problem

no i dont have a air pump hooked up yet but i have added no nutes yet because my well water is already at 300 ppm out the tap so i was going to leave them on regular water for a week to get the roots going

You need to treat that water and get some o2 and/or circulation going on in there. Your water is stagnant and just inviting bad shit to grow in it, and it is. Drain, refill and get that water moving around.

the temp of your nutes is important also dont let it get above 75 deg

put air stones in the water keep plenty aireated also you can put like a buildge pump to move the water

Constant movement and maybe some AquaShield.

i just drained my reservoir and it was also some stinky water, and the bottom of the tub was stained a little with iron? i know theres some well water users with high iron content that do hydro? not sure what to do if the water is like this after only 2 days, i have one air pump i can put the tube in there to give it some air and circulation but i dont think that will get rid of it being well water

another question ive read alot on how high to flood my table with my 6x6 cubes and they say to flood all the way to the roots but no matter how much i adjust the drainage it still only comes half way up the rockwool is this ok ???

sup guys can anyone help me Ive got a 5 day old sprout in a big 6x6x6 rock wool cube I'm hand watering using canna vega(1m each) and rhizotonic (2ml) ec 0.8 and ph at 5.5 when i check run off it at 6.8 can anyone help me please to re stable my ph so run of is as what I'm putting in ? i can show pictures the plant looks healthy I'm just checking ph every watering and the run off seems to be rising all the time
