Hydro NOOB

Hey guys!

I wonder whether I could pick your brains?! After years growing outdoors, with great success and decent yields, which would usually see me through until the next year (I don't smoke much these days!). Unfortunately I've recently moved to a different part of the world, where the weather is a bit too variable for good results outdoor (early frost etc etc).

So I'm looking at a Hydro setup and wonder whether I need anything else to get it going (apart from lights and general growing apparatus) see below;

- A four pot hydropod system - deep flood and drain system which uses clay pellets (perlite)
- pH up and down
- Veg and Flower nutes
- Rockwool for germination/seedlings

Is that sufficient to get it going, or am I being a complete novice and missing something vital?! Go easy on a dirty organic soil man!

That looks about right.

air pump/stone, PH and tds meters, fan, air temperature(AC?) need to sort out heat issues or water temps that go higher thatn 72F is a problem. is the clay pellets instead of perlite, the plite can jam your water lines and pump

Get a EC/PPM meter and some ph test drops. Hydroton is what u want to use, not perlite.
