Hydro Germination Issues

Whats goin on all you hydro gurus?

I have had two successful soil grows with no problems. I have decided to try my hand at hydro for my next grow. I have revamped my room for 9 plants to grow in a top feed dutch bucket system . I have been following the instructions laid out in the SOG hydroponics video for germinating my seeds. I germinate them in a paper towel inside of a petri dish, after they pop i use tweezers to move the sprout into a 2 inch net pot filled with hydroton clay pebbles and some into a 1 inch square of rock wool. I then place both mediums into the same black plastic tray that sits on a heat mat set to 70 deg and fill the tray half way up the net pots with RO water (with a ph of 5.8 to 6.5 and a ppm of 120 to 250) there is a aquiruim air pump bubbling at all times in the tray right next to the lil sprouts. I add 25 ml of 29% hydrogen peroxide when I change the water every 2 days along with a drop or 2 of B-1. For lighting I keep them under a Hydrofarm FLP24 2-Feet/4-Tube T5 Designer System, between 6 to 9 inches away from the sprouts. I can keep them alive for about a week before they shrivel up and die on me or the cotyledon and first set of true leaves turn brown and die. I have been using my old stock of bag seed until I get a working technique down so as not to ruin my good seeds, but that stock of old seed is running out and I need to figure something out. Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong? Or if you know a more effective technique? I am open to all options and opinions at this point. Thanks in advance girls and guys :peace: Toke Happy:joint:[h=1][/h]

Oh man, I feel your stress. I use the same method every time and get 95/100 % germ. I put my seeds into a baby food jar with distilled water until they sink 12-24 hours. It usually happens around 14 hours unless I am using my own seeds and they are older so they take more sometimes. I put ph at 6.5 and add rootone, no more than a pinch the size of a match head. The rootone softens the hard shell so the root comes out, and it does quickly. Most of the time the root is spiked out at 14-16 hours that is why I take em at 12. No food in the water because it burns the delicate life happening in that saturated environment, and it will burn in light speed and never germ. After the 12 hours or sinking I put em root riots, and into plastic trays for seedlings, or soil and seedling tray and plastic container with lid, or plastic bag and put on seed mat set at 80 degrees and wait for my gifts from heaven to arrive. Over heating will kill!! use thermostat with heating mat, or put in the back of freezer next to compressor, I used the chest freezer for three years until I got tired of having to go to garage to get my babies. It worked stupid good, I just rotated containers around compressor each day so they all got a good shot at germ and it was fantastic. The seed mat with thermostat and plastic bag creates perfect environment and never lets me down. I do it in a closet not used so temp stays constant, and every day I open the bag blow it up and tie it off and put back on heat mat. Or you can put in plastic containers and just take lid off every day for fresh air and put back on. It works every time with great results. In the summer I just put in plastic bag in seedling tray, and blow it up and put it in a box and close it up and re-blow bag every day and get stupid success. I live in the desert so garage stays very warm all night during summer. These methods work with bag seed and bought seed, and my own breeds even better. Always breed for seed because they will be acclimated to your specif environment, and when you fem you will be amazed. I self everything and get stronger plants with more thc, and only one hermie out of 8 strains so far. That hermie became the base of some killa shit, so before you kill a hermie let it hump some girls and see what ya get, you may be very happy. While my hermie was breeding it was growing some of strongest best stuff to smoke.
