just ran a dr doom bomb a couple days ago. forgot that in my hydro my roots had some gnats and larva on them and the dr doom didnt touch them since its in an enclosed area.
last night i ran a natural gas line for my co2 gen(sick of halling tanks and NG is not as dangerous as you would think). i used soapy water to test for any leaks. soapy water is excellent for killing insects right on contact. would it be ok to spray my plants roots with it as long as i rinse it off very well? i'll also make sure to use about 75F water so it dont shock them from temp. i know it will kill the gnats instantly as i would spray around the bases of the pots to kill them by the holes on the bottom of the grow bags. i plan on rinsing off every drop of soap of the roots but im afriad it might kill or shock my plants too bad. anyone think it will be safe? i have captain jacks, azamax, and go gnats but i want something that kills instantly. thanks i will give out +reps for any help.

Look for something called "nematodes" Use the "grow your own" type, got rid of mine within a couple of days! Also use fly traps to help get the big ones.

thanks. i have fly traps all over the place. the dr doom seems to work excellent. i spray with captain jacks every few days on the surface of the soil also. but do you think dishsoap will hurt my roots if i rinse it off well? i know it will be in instakill on all the gnats and larva. just dont want to take out a daughter in the process.
