These girls are into their 5th week of flower, day 29 since I flipped to 12/12

they’re in soil and bottom fed so no run off

ec Is 1.7 and the ph is 6.4

one or two completely yellow leaves towards the bottom of the plants and a few leaves closer to the top are now starting to turn

any ideas?

Generally, your plants look great. They look slightly underfed... might increase the ec a tad but overall looking super, good job

Others in the tent are a nice green colour with no problems, one or two are showing the yellowing leaves with the odd brown spots

Hard to believe a plant being fed 1.8 EC has a deficiency. Are you getting a good runoff when you feed? Could be build up.

Not possible, I fill the res weekly and let the timer feed every 48 hours. I can’t top feed now or that will cause more problems
You bottom feed on a timer in soil with 1.8EC". Crazy, You have salt build up,your system needs a way to be able to flush the shit out.Curious where you got this method from?

There are a number of shops here that sell the full auto watering systems. Autopot and alien easy feed systems for example

Since he has been bottom watering the salt will start building up on the top layer of the soil so OP definitely does not want to top water.

Just continue bottom watering as is and bump up the EC and you should be fine
How do you rid the build up?And id assume build up will be all throughout the pot since the pot sits in it.
Just goes against everything when feeding salts.Im sure it works but it can never work well.

The buildup will accumulate on the top layer and will not affect anything as long as you don’t top water. so when your bottom watering you really don’t have to worry about salt buildup. Also it works super well. I used to run auto pots with synthetics however I since switched to organic

When your bottom watering the medium never fully dries out only the top layer which is why the salt accumulates on the top layer it will not affect the plant
