Hungriest plant ever!?

I just fed the plant on Saturday. The soil is dry, and the plant is drooping and looking like it needs more water. Is this normal? Should I feed today? how often should I feed?

Plant is 32 days old. Will put up a photo soon.

Thanks!

More info. How big of a container and how much water did you use on sat? Not uncommon to water in 3 days. How warm is your room as that could dry it out faster too

If your plants are dry and drooping than water them. Watering is different than feeding. A good way to test if your plants need water (growing in soil and in pots) is to carefully turn the pot upsidedown slide or pop the plant out of the pot and see where the soil is dry down to if its dry only the first inch or two then its still fine. The biggest problem most novice growers have is overwatering plants need oxygen to grow when we overwater we actually drown the roots.

Kevo gave some good advice there. I would add that in soil and a container of 1gal/ft hight of plant in a 78deg room with 40-60% humidity I will give water every 3 days, with a feed every 3rd watering. Water until you get a run off. Peace W

Thanks for the replies!

Its in the pot that I initially planted the germinated seeds in. Its like one of those "standard" flower pot. I actually two pots outside.

Photos to gauge the size of the pot:
I found two. This is the other one

looks like a nitrogen deficiency by the lower yellowing leaves.and wats up with the chopsticks? they look like they would choke the plant instead of holding it up.use a skewer to hold the plant up.just dont tear the roots up when you stick it in the dirt.i angle my skewer towards the outside of the pot and let the plant lean on it.works great.other than that your gerls look good happy growing! oops nevermind I see you did break them apart lol I still use skewers thou

I dont have any food only water. I was going to get some molasses and some Dyna-Gro "Grow" this week. What do you guys think.

Based on the size of the pot and plant, when do you think I should transplant? Keep in mind that the soil im using is not that great either.

so actually their the thirstiest plants ever lol
in my opinion having to water alot just means that your plant has a good root sytem, when your plants have roots expanded all through out the soil it will suck up more water, this will mainly happen in smaller containers, for instance my plants are all it 1 1/2 gallon containers for the most part, i have somein 2 1/2 and 3 gal. kinda small compared to what alot of ppl use. ne way heres my point ill water them and go back there again and after 2 days its dmn near bone dry, sumtimes only 1 day, however the plant i have in a 3 gal is will soil will dry in around 3-4 days

Yeah it seems to be dry after only a couple of days for me too. I guess there really isn't a concrete schedule for watering & feeding.

When should I transfer into a bigger pot?

How often should I give the plant the water that has the nutes in it? I was under the impression that people give there plants are always given water with stuff in it. Thanks for letting me know.

Some people always put mollasses in there "regular" water, right?

How long have they been in that soil, mg food thats in their soil is time released so now it becomes a guessing game. That is why some people don't like MG.

Can you recommend a good feeding schedule. I ordered DG Grow & Bloom, figure I will give her that when the time is right. Didn't see a feeding schedule on Dyna's website, its probably there and I just missed it.

I put the germinated seed in the MG. So its been in there its whole life (32 days). I bought some organic soil to use for when I transplant it to a bigger pot... I considered mixing the two, but I figured I might as well just wait.

I have a grow journal btw, if your interested.

Also if you are using a small ass pot its going to dry out much faster then a larger pot. Like when my ladies where in 16oz cups i would have to almost water every day...but when switching to a 2 gallon pot it was only every 3 days. Best advice i ever got was when you first put dry soil into your pot....pick it up and feel how light it is. Then water it untill you see run off and feel how much heavier it is. Now when you are unsure of when to water just pick the pot up and if its light as shit your soil is dry as hell man.

Yes I would transplant to a bigger pot with more soil, and a good rule of thumb is to start your feeding light and work it up from there. And I would recommend feeding either every other watering or every 3rd watering and when feeding make sure your getting 20% of your water running outta the bottoms of your pots. If you decide to replant into bigger pots I would get something besides MG also, if your gonna feed thru watering I would suggest promix, no food in it so you know exactly what your feeding your ladies
