Humus for seedlings

Is it safe to water seedlings with humus in distiller water ? My plants are almost 2 weeks old and I'm wondering if it would help the roots to grow better if I used it in my water . I put half of what was recommended in a gallon of distiller water . Thanks in advance for any and all answers

Humus as in soil science seems to be actually helpful for vegetation. Is that kind of humus you're referring to?
