Humidity problem please help!!

Hi wise folk of roi.
I have a humidity problem, I've got a 240 x 12x 200 tent. Extractor running air out only into the room with carbon filter, ped fan circulating inside tent and small fan blowing air in air ports open when lights on got 2 x 400 at HP's and 7 on the go but the humidity sits at 70 percent lights off and 64 lights on I've got a heap of dehumidifier crystals in there but no luck. Do I have to spend 250 on a dehumidifier? What else can I do 2 days into flower 12/12.

I dont know why you'd have to buy such an expensive dehumidifier, I got one for 30$ at the local drug store that works for me. You can set the humidity and everything. Other than your extractor fan making sure it's on full that's the only thing I can think of.

Ok thanks mate appreciate the input I'll have to try and hunt down a cheaper one, ive had a decent look but will have to look some more.

A little defoliation and cover tops of pots with plastic and I bet the humidity will drop considerable.

Only if your over watering. Ideally pots of coco should be needing watered at least once a day, if not then your in too big a pot for the root mass.

Ok cool, so I'll give that a go. Would you say maybe water a bit less with no run off? The roots are already at bottom of the pots. Also zypheru would you think a 2.5L dehumidifier from someone like kogan would do the trick?

It would do ok, check the rear of the device it may have an outlet to attach a hose to and run to a larger container. If not it will need emptied every day.
You still need run off, the roots will reach the bottom of a pot very quick but that does not mean the root ball is filling the medium. You may just stick with it till they drink your containers dry daily.

i've had good luck looking for dehui's in pawn shops. i got a 300 dollar unit for 60 bucks, and have been using it for 2 years, no problems. just plug it in at the shop and make sure it runs.
