Humidifier for 2x2 tent?

Billy the Mountain, Ethel the Tree growing off his shoulder is not impressed by stating the obvious! The ultrasonics will spew everything in the water all over my plants and tent. Honeywell makes one that wicks. Let me ask another question. Anyone using a 2x2 tent care to share how and what device they use to enhance humidity? Thanks

Ethel says hi, thanks!

An ultrasonic humidifier will only spew whats in the water. Use RO water and there's nothing to spew. Agree 100% that using tap is a bad idea, from my own experience. I've used a small ultrasonic humidifier with a controller and it worked exactly as planned.

Thank you both. Isn‘t 45% to low with temperatures in the high seventies? would like to consider VPD. Drsaltzman I was wondering if The plants, once large enough, would transpire enough to raise the humidity in the tent. Rain Science bags should breathe much better than the fabric pots I use outside. I’m an outside guy moving inside to my new grow tent. I’m tried of Mother Nature throwing curve balls. Again Thanks

I also grew for years outside and started indoor about 4 years ago.
First a 2x4, then added a 4x4.
My experience:
That space (2x2) is ideal for one plant. With two plants you will raise your humidity quite a bit.
High 70s and 45% are good enough numbers. I’ve had to fight a lot worse.
If you do get a humidifier setup, you’ll be using it a lot less than you think.
And if your plants really leaf out, you’ll be looking for a dehumidifier.
The air stone idea sounds good if you’re really feeling you need it.
I use fabric by the way. Cheap and effective.
Good luck on your grow!

Put an evaporative cooler, hessaire maybe, in the same room as the tent. Use an inkbird to control the humidity it produces. Expensive though.

So it humidifies and cools at the same time? That would come in handy during veg. I’ll look into the cooler and inkbird. I like the idea of some automation.

I use a cheap ultrasonic with RO, controlled by an inkbird. It's a little doughnut shaped thing that floats on the water. I use RO (or furnace condensate) in all my humidifiers.

I painted it black as there's a little green led in there. There's no power button, so it works fine with any controller or timer.
At times I used it for the cooling effect with an inkbird humidity controller running the exhaust fan.
