Humidifier, fogger help

Hi guys, I received nearly all my growing equipment a couple days ago. The seeds haven't arrived yet (hopefully they will by tomorrow) so I wanted to test temperature and humidity in my grow tent. I let my 400w hps run for about 30 mins and the temperature was 35C (95F) and the humidity dropped to about 20%, the temps are a bit high but there was no fans in the room, I think I'll will be alright when I get my cooling system installed. Without the light on its around 23C and 40% humidity.

Now for the question, will this pond fogger be efficient enough to increase the humidity to around 50% in the room?

My grow room:

Tent: DR60
Lights: 400w hps cooltubed
Fans: antec bad boy 200mm pc fan rated @ 228mh3 (exhaust)

4x 120mm xilence pc fans rated @ 100mh3 (1 for intake, 1 for cooltube, 2 for inside ventilation

6'' oscillating clip fan.

There will be good air circulation to keep temps cool, which will hurt humidity in the room.

yeah looks good, I have a $30 humidifier based on the same tech in there, it's almost too much, I don't have it running all the time. And even then, only for veg /cloning. Remember, your plants themselves will add to the RH, especially once you start watering them frequently. They provide a bit of their own evaporative cooling. And when your temps hit 35, was that ambient air temp? ie, did you have the thermometer shaded by something, or was the light beating directly on it. Because if it was directly exposed to the light you were also measuring radiant temps. Plants can take very high radiant temps, however ambient temps should be between 70-79 f. I think that ventilation should be fine, but you may get sick of all those different fans and may want to eventually switch to a single good inline duct fan. Especially for flower

Thanks for the reply.

I will have a different veg cupboard so if anything I can just throw the fogger in there. I am a noob to growing so excuse my ignorance, but I have done quite a bit of research. The thermometer was placed 85cm directly under the light so I think I was measuring the radiant temp. As for the ventilation, I chose 5 pc fans over 1 strong fan due to the noise levels, I couldn't find any ultra silent inline fan so I jus went with this setup, I am grwing it in my bedroom so I need ultimate acoustics.

completely understood. However if you do want to upgrade eventually, I have a 309 CFM elicent fan that is seriously whisper quiet. I highly recommend the brand. And the 309 CFM is misleading because of its suction strength - it maintains that 309 throughout the airflow chain, almost no matter what's hooked up to it.

It's suspended from elastic bungie hooks on my ceiling. In order from loudest to quietest in my room

Air conditioner > Cloner pump turning on (sounds like a waterfall) > Desktop computer (it is a monster) > oscillating fan > inline duct fan > mouse noises

seriously. Just something to consider :joint:

Well I'll be damned I actually spent hours looking for a quiet inline fan lol. I was going to buy a inline fan + speed controller but I thought it was no way near worth splashing out an extra £100 for just a poxy little speed controller. Whats the make of your fan? I want that bad boy when I upgrade my tent size.

Oh and where is the best place to put my thermometer for most accurate temp readings?
