Humboldt bud from 20 yrs ago

Taking a flyer that anyone cares but about 20 years ago a buddy had a connection to an old school Humboldt grower. He knew him, saw the farm etc..

The nugs were unquestionably the highest quality Ive ever seen. Golden, green. yellow, bright orange hairs, crystal-laden, occasionally a cute orange bug or 2 stuck deep inside the buds, a little bigger than pistil size. Buds varied but golf balls were common.

The buds were crystally, and then gave you a special, trance-like buzz. It was not the most potent thing out there, I had had Hawaiian and indoor bud that was stronger...

But the buzz was special. So special, that you often had to stop smoking other kinds for a day or 2 to feel the subtleties. Some batches were bomb out potency, but most were amazing cerebral buzzes like Hawaiian, but more relaxed and less "wavy" feeling.

The standout was that coffee finish. Not a little, not a lot, but an incredible "did they lace it with coffee or mocha?" smell and flavor. A clean finishes pure coffee/chocolate.

All natural, beautiful, incredible stuff. Yes, we failed to ever take a picture. But ive always wondered what it was, and even my buddy and his connection dont know or remember.

Anybody remember this stuff? Cost a fortune to be sent out of state, and worth every penny. Long shot that its a strain i could buy but hey why not ask the team...!?

Ive had chocolope...has a bit of that taste but not the coffee.

Thank you spliffendz! I knew someone wouls have heard of it. Im on the research now!

I doubt that is the be all end all, I've had jamaican/african weeds that are chocolatey or coffee. I only remember that particular because I like coffee types myself
