bummer you lost those two beauties, your grow set up looks so nice and careful? what was the circumstances of their demise?

how do you manage to not check on your plants every few hours? i only have a lil seedling and i cant keep from looking at it as often as possible(lil slut loves the attention:-P) and its not even doing much! atleast you had a fail safe with those clones

i love the video tour of your setup and how you labled every little thing incase someone had any questions. i was wondering, whats with the baby monitor on the ballast? is it incast the ballast falls youll hear the crash?

the two plants had some type of diseases not sure what it was, after reading i think i figured out it was a PH problem since i was only using the old school PH test kit with color and drops. so they had that going on. then i forgot to give them water so a day and a half with no water and they all dropped down. tried to save them but i believe with the PH water i was going with just shocked them and nothing came back looking good. Left them for a week hoping they would turn around and nothing, just got tired of looking at ugly not really healthy plants so i chopped them down. I might have been able to get something off of each but it would be a fight all the way so just cut my losses and moved on.

With a family i only get to spend time in my rooms when they are away, family is first to me my plants can die, i will always be able to grow again but never have these moments with my family and that's what life's really about!!!!! but you know i am in there just checking them out every chance i get.

hahaha like i said only can work when the little ones are sleeping or away so i have that in there so i can hear if my daughter or son wakes up while i am working in the rooms.

Thanks for joining the thread Kaleo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok i admit these grows are not going as planned and making out for a sucky start to this thread, bongsmilie ok back on track

Long story short, lost all my clones :wall: normally the aero cloner does not run out this time it did, so no water for the clones = dead clones.

The 4 querkle clones had the same water(aggressive feeding) since i started this thread maybe a little before and they ran out of water to, only lost one. The other 3 just went a little droopy and perked right back up when they got some water.

So now the 3 plant are moved in to the bigger room with a veg light cycle for now. Just gave them a Folair spray, new water and a cleaning of dead leaves.

right on quickrip welcome to the thread!! bongsmilie

Plants are doing good no big problems, been feeding them the aggressive dose of H&G and i can see some signs of it in the plants, hoping they will just get use to it after a few days or i might just have to switch over to the normal feeding cycle.

Humidity has been a bitch in the room, got the temps dialed in 80 at high 70 at low, but the humidity's been kicking my ass 70 to 40 not to bad during veg but when flowering comes i need to dial it in more.

Other then that plants are just filling in more, all the nobes have turned and are reaching for the light. Debating on when to switch them over, i could grow them big but there only in a 5x5 so roots can not get to big in there would have to think of something or just flowering soon, ANY IDEAS ??

they look almost the same but if you want some new pics let me know.

subscribed! I bought one those mega garden kits and then never set it up because my grow room shrank on me right before it came in the mail haha. now I just use a DWC but I defiantly want to see what you can pull with it because I'll be using it soon if its worth it =]

its a nice kit i really like it can go a few different ways with it. Only negatives i have found are the res water gets hot if your rooms above 70 so you have to insulated it witch i need to do again. and draining the res to empty is a pain because the drain/water level tube is above the bottom so you get about a gallon left over from your last water change. and that will change the numbers of your new water change. To really see what your can do with one of these check out guitarabuser grow he has had them for a few harvest now great grows.

Well thanks. I'll read through that but I have read some of your blue dream and like the results! I was thinking of using this for my cloner since they would need water often. I sort of figured it would leave old water in there when I got it and thought that could be a problem. My idea was to make a stand that would actually hold the upper tray completely above the lower tray so you can slide the lower tray in and out but it would make it about 6" taller so just under 1.5' tall total. No big deal if its the clone tray anyhow. Could you have a mother and clones in it at the same time?? I don't know too much about the drain and flood timing schedules..
Sorry to ask so many questions... you just seem to understand it much better than I though so this is why I ask.

The plastic that they made the mega garden out of is not that great really weak, someone told me he was just trying to leaning it and it cracked on him. To drain i have seen a few different ways just use the water level tube or hook up a tube to the pump inside the res that fills up the mega garden and now you can use it to drain, still leaves a little water but its almost impossible to get all the water out with out taking all the plants off.

Mothers and clones can be used in the same mega but they should be both with a nice root system. I would not cut clones then put them in with the mother, would have to wait tell they have some nice roots first.

Watering times depends on the life of the plant, normally ebbaflow is 3 water times a day,
First watering is one hour after lights turn on
Third watering is two hours before lights turn off
Second watering is in the middle of the first and last

The timer should turn on the pump for 15 mins each water cycle

When your first put clones into the mega garden you might need to add a Fourth watering time since they do not have big roots yet, after two three weeks they should only need 3 water times a day.

No worries on the questions

Well thanks for the advice. would I need to water the clones as often if they were in a humidity dome? i was thining about placing a 10x20 flood tray with humidity dome which would cut it perfectly in half almost. Also what temperature should the res actually stay at since mine will be running cold...

Not sure on the humidity domes only tried using them once.

I believe the res temp should be around 65f it can go up to 75 and still be ok but 65 is the perfect temp for oxygen in the water or something like that haha

My res temps go from 65 to 75 right now maybe a little higher, i will be surrounding the res tank with some reflective insulation to see if that helps with lowering the res temp.

Some people by a water chiller and hook it up to the res so it stays at 65.
