Huge problem! need every bit of help on this one!

gotta agree with fdd youll here a lot of people argueing about lights. hps cfls ceramic metal halide even leds now but youll never find a pro incandescent grower. yes your much better off with that hps or even another cfl.

your plant looks pretty good but you need better lights she looks a little streched. those nodes look pretty spaced out. with that 400w hps youll be pullin nugs asap.

go to the adv. growing section. theres a sticky on fimming and topping. and look up super cropping and lst'ing (low stress training) pick your poison

thanks 4 all the help. i do keep all my cfl's no further than 2 inches away. and yes i did say incandessant lol its only 1 temporary bulb. its either a 13 watt 2700k cfl (2 years old) OR a new 150 watt 3000k red spectrum incandessant. all my other cfl's are brand new and no less than 30 watts. but i will have my 400watt HPS real soon and will only keep a few cfl's for veg

Im always of the opinion that you shouldnt skimp on your crop. This shit can get atleast 3k a pound so dont fuck around. That being said you also shouldnt blow fat wads of cash on shit you can get cheaper. Id only use a cool tube on a vertical/side grow. It is a little cheaper but you do loose a bit of reflectivity. id nut up and buy a sealed 6in hood reflector if you plan on being serious.

does the sealed hood reflector need ventilation or what? .. also i have a budget and dont mind paying. the guys kool sh!t. gona give me a discount. hes a legal grower himself so hel have advise. but i heard 400watt can get like 5 or even 600*degrees(farenhight), so ventilation will be important i assume

yea it will be a sealed hood is vented there will be a open port for vent tubing on both sides for intake and exhaust and your right it will get very hot i had a 250W melt my sleeve. not fun

i do but dont at the same time lol i was woundering if there was an alternative to having vents n such. seeing as how we cant cut any holes in anything! maybe just having both closet doors open slightly with a moded fan blowing air in one side forcing it out the other... also if my friend turns off the heat in his room it acually gets cold (winter time here) would this work? any other ideas? .. if i had money to build a simple grow box inside the closet i would.

Yea just tie it down not super tight but bent wait 2/3 hours then bend lil bit more or wait a day is safest. And if you break the stalk don't freak bro I've broke the main stalk fatter than an old dudes cigar (I top super early) and not a skip in the heart beat of the buds they grew huge! Remember these girls are tuffer than ya think they will scab up like us
