HTG supply lights

need a little help guys was looking at a light from htg it is made by htg 400wat mh an hps is 170.00 does anyone have this light or heard anything about this brand any help with this would be great thanks

I received my 400 watt bulb & HPS ballast from HTG. Everything arrived complete and it worked when I installed it. I am satisfied and can recommend them.

Yep, same as Johnnyorganic. A great company. Plus it came with a lighter, which gave me a good chuckle.

I dont reccomend htg as they sell alot of junk and dont answer emails or phone messages.Usually if I would get any responses to questions it took 2-3 months. I have seen alot of people getting bad or damaged stuff and poor quality even ballasts that were not even assembled right and missing internal parts.For $170 it better be a switchable digital setup as thats too much for a straight magnetic non switchable ballst for sure...marylandhydroponics.com or insidesun.com much better places

HTG lights work great for me,as far as quality they work just as good as my other systems.Never had a problem contacting them by phone either.

But i do think $170 is too high unless its a digital or switchable ballast,a standard 400 watt system should be around $100 without shipping.

They used to be good on stuff but last 2 years even on these forums you will see alot of people not getting orders, missing parts. They sell a grobrite bulb that they claim 90000 lumnes but barely show 75000 on a refractometer and the bulb burns up in digital setups so your down a light in a week or sne guy got his setup and he went to plug it up and the power cord and light hood cord came right out the ballast so he opened it and it was missing parts inside...Thats pure garbage quality..They are not setup to handle the volume they get at times and forget an answer if you contact them via thier web site. i did get a few ebay responses but it took a month or 2 for each.The hydro hut rip off they sell fall apart to as they are made from cheap fabrics. Think they call thiers sun huts

Htg is also reall flexable, i bought something from them on ebay, didnt have the money and told them straight up what my deal was. They were like shoots, its cool, no problem. And no bad rating. Yeah there digi 400 looks pretty tempting.

marylandhydroponics.com has a lot of good stuff at great prices. I get my 600 watt digital switchables there for $115 shipped each they have them for $119 plus shipping on there but little talking can get you better they have 400 watt digi switchables for $99. They are my favorite place for ballasts.I do like ebay though.Im gonna go grab a few panramic umbrella reflectors from a guy I met on there for $35 each svaes about $100 each on those

stop trying to promote that site FilthyFletch many here have bought from HTC (including me, recently i might add) multiple times and always have been satisfied and they ALWAYS answer emails

I recommend HTG supply as well. He ran out of his 600w digital systems and offered a free hps bulb with the hps it comes with. I e-mailed him about changing the free hps bulb to a mh bulb and he said "no problem" . Highly recommend.

i do NOT recommend HTG. i had issues with my order. i sent them at least 4 emails over a 2 week period. that was 2 months ago. i still have not heard back. i have a brand new hood and ballast set-up just sitting on my shelf. brand new still in the box. it's collecting dust.

I just placed 2 orders within the last week, answered all my questions, shipment went out the next day and when my order arrived he tossed in an extra HPS bulb at no charge....I have seen the complaints, but I have placed 4 orders in all over the course of 6 months and had no problems whatsoever...

wow i'm surprised i take fdd's word for it, man i've bought multiple things from them and never had a problem, i'm runnign out of foxfom organix ferts too, where can i get them besides there?

That doesn't make any sense, man. When one person says he had a bad experience there, you tell him to shut up, but when FDD says it you never wanna use the company again. I mean I understand that FDD is particularly trustworthy, but I dunno...kinda lame. This thread is about if they're reliable or not. Don't bitch somebody out when they give an honest "no" just because you had good experiences.

i only used his site once. i never tried the phone #. it's not like i "fully" pursued my issues. i guess i should be fair and honest.

i had issues with an order, i thought my socket was bad and it ended up being the bulb

even though it was my fault, he shipped me a new socket set, then a new bulb a few days later. no questions asked.

they must not check email to be honest. ive never had a problem getting hold of anyone over the phone

I got my 600w dig from them, the bulb burt out with in the first week (grobrite bulb). I left a few mess. got no responce so I called them up and told Chris the problem and he said sorry for the issue and sent me a new bulb (SunMaster) 2day mail. I have to say the hood is cheap and have had an issue with the dig ball. interfering with t.v reseption.
I think I paid $250 with the hangers/shipping ect. Other then that I have no issues, the unit still works fine.
