Dude you obviously have no idea. Yes, lots of fucked up shit in the US. A two-party system has never really seemed like a real democracy to me. But Russia is a whole different world.. I live in a bordering country in the former USSR and the shit they pull all the time is just insane.
I can see where your coming from but their agenda seems to be working very well on you, "not so different at all" is exactly what the russian propaganda machine wants you to believe.

They have an oligarch class that runs the financial, economic and political sectors of the country. America has an oligarch class that runs the financial, economic and political sectors of the country.

It is true that they are rougher about it but that's not a fundamental difference. America is every bit as violent and intimidating as any other country in the world and worse than most.

There is not one single thing that Russia is accused of doing to us that America hasn't done to them on a far grander scale at some point in the last 20 years.

The American propaganda machine wants us to think we're different and that all the bad shit we do is justified because we're 'exceptional' or for 'humanitarian reasons'- both of which hold less water than a spaghetti strainer in a hurricane.

I know a lot more than you may think I do; not only have I spent decades doing my homework, I've gotten confirmation first hand from people who spent their careers in the belly of the beast.

Well you might have done a lot of homework on american bullshit, but how about Russia? Have you read Anna Politkovskaya's (RIP) "Putin's Russia", for instance? It's a great book, a piece or real journalism as well. Maybe you have, would you say all that insane shit goes on in the US as well? It's over a decade old I think, and things have only been getting worse over there.
Fwiw, I do feel sorry for you americans, having an ass clown for president and all that but please, this does not justify Putin and his criminal regime by any means.

Nowhere have I said that Putin is a saint.

I'm pointing out that the current American administration is also a criminal regime without precedent or justification.

The fact that Americans still meekly go about their business instead of emptying into the streets and demanding change before they work another minute or pay another penny on their mortgage tells me that their indoctrination has been successful.

I am very concerned regarding the appointment of John Bolton who is sartorially and aesthetically challenged , anyone who wears button down collars is suspect, as for the tash I’m not convinced it works on him. He does makes Trump look like a handsome devil, this is why he was picked imo, make America beautiful again. Nuking NK is a diversion imo it’s the “look” that counts
