Hps V Mh

Now I know there are quite a few of you out there that prefer, if you only had one light, to use HPS all the way through. I've done both, and to my mind mh is definitely the best.

With mh you get bigger, stronger plants. They are ready for flower quicker, and you get more yeild. There is no difference between quality, although HPS users swear that you get more potent bud. I don't feel that this is true.

i have a 400mh and a 600hps in the same bulb am hoping for the best in both worlds

And this will be delivered. Now, what if you only had the choice of one bulb, both of equal wattage?

i veg 800 watt mh 3x 6 i flower 2k hps 5 x 11 there is no second guessing the compact growth of mh for veg

I need to get a mh for my veg. But I heard that hps does the job and it gets you through all stages.

Don't listen to this geezer, he sounds fucking INSANE. Flouro's for veg', may well be cheaper and this will be reflected in your grow.

You can use HPS in veg' yes, but your plants will take longer to grow, are more inclined to stretch and take longer to flower. You will also, due to forementioned problems end up with less yield. Mh will give you a better yield, while at the same time delivering a smoke of equal quality to HPS.

I placed a plant that had been vegged under mh into flower in hps 2 weeks later than 6 plants that had vegged below hps. The plant that vegged beneath the mh has now overtaken the other 6, in fact seemed to almost right away. She's bigger and far stronger. I'll post yield difference on this thread, although she should really take 2 weeks longer to flower it certainly doesn't look that way. In fact, she is by far the best performer, yet was flowered 2 weeks later.
