Oh by all means, if you are doing an open door closet grow thats cool, but not for a enclosed grow box like mine. I thought he said he needed to control heat and smell thats a different story..Ive done an open closet grow on my first attempt temps were fine but the smell gave me the blues..Peace

keep the closet door open? really?

Ya if smell is an isse that wont do at all and what about noise? can you be as loud as you want? house? apartment? Is is hot where you live? its gets in triple digits where i live....

You might need more then just 400ws, a fan and some tap water.........

why not save a little money,do alot of reading and get your grow set-up proper. so when those babies do arrive thare are most comfortable .....

Yes keep the closet door open, and its not as uncommon as you think. Many grower do it here, that chose not to remodel there apartments, as a matter of fact roseman does it but i believe he's in a house! As i stated its not ideal but ive done it (in an apartment) with low smell strains NL and fruity strains like bluemystic, the closet is only opened when needed to cool room temps and obviously its not open during lights out.And if you dont have a big vortex fan or similar what noise do you speak of?your only using a oscilating house fan.anyway these thing should have spoken for themselves..

well I finally bought my light and I did go with the 400w and not the 250w. It is actually perfect for my closet and it's not hot as I thought it would be. Plants are a foot away and are loving the new HPS system lol.

Thanks for the tips and tricks.

just when everything was going good, plants started to form some weird spots on the top leaves, the light was about 16" away to be exact. Now i raised it to 20" approx.

It had been 2 days of them being fine with this new 400w hps, and this morning woke up to have 2 of my 3 plants with some spots on some leaves on the top. I took a few pictures with my webcam but not very clear...

Let me know what your ideas are if either heat or light stress...

The light is on 24 hours.

any tips and tricks to stop this from spreading would be nice.

Thanks.
