I'm new to growing and learning little by little. Was wondering if I should run a hps or mh during veg. I just transplanted yesterday. I'm running a 1000w. I have both bulbs.. Strain is jack hrer.

Depends on how far along the plant is, and what nutrients your using, I usually start after week 3 in a soil grow. Post some pics of your plants!

If you just transplanted.... Give it a couple of waterings before nuting.......

You definitely don't want to fertilize right after transplant, or you will burn the shit out of them.

Spoken like a pro here, listen to Ben Franklin. We have all made the mistake, don't be the next one. I know it's tempting to give the ladies as much nutes as possible and as soon as possible, but you can really screw yourself. I would take what your directions on the bottles and knock it down 50% on your 3rd or 4th watering, then bump it up to 60% 70% and so on. Different strains like different nutrient levels, watch them, and listen to them. They will tell you what they need, and if you need help to identify that, your in a good forum.

How many babies are you working with? If it's only one or two girls, you don't need 1000w mh. You can veg for a while for under a 600. If you have a larger operation, I'm sorry in advance for the useless advice. Just looking out for your energy bills.

No worries bro. You have a lot of bitches to handle. I try to use as little energy as possible to be efficient.
Happy gardening.:bigjoint:
