HPS / high pressure sodium lamp Beginner Help

Hey Guys :)
I have a few Questions about HPS Lamps, How much Watt...etc.
So i thought about growing in my closet, I only want to grow 2 Plants (Skunk 1).
For Growth i want to go with fluorescent tubes. For Flowering I wanted to get a HPS, because i heard they will produce the best and Buds :) But now I dont know how much Watt HPS i just choose for my Setup for 2-3 Flowers max.

Please Help <3

400 watts and you'll get pretty nice sized dense nugs. You could go 250 but it won't be as dense, 250 and lower is just a waste of time in my opinion. Or get a 600 watt and they'll be even more dense.

So I should go with a 400 watts HPS for only 2 plants in my Closet :O Isnt that too much?

You can get a dimmable ballast if you plan to start small.
600w hydrofarm phantom ballast can be dimmed from 60% to 75% to 100%.

So you can run the 600w on 60% which is like 360w.
Then if you ever want to upgrade, you dont have to buy a new ballast.

I cant really go with that expensive Equipment, because im kinda on Budget :/

lol I grew 1 plant with a 400 watt, got 4.5 ounces it works well. Now I got a 1000 watt though but haven't used it yet

how much smoke do you need?

(though if you get a bigger lamp and dont need so much smoke, that just means you dont have to grow back to back, but the bigger lamps also require more space and cooling (noisier fans and whatnot)

but 250w came to mind first.

(why i need 400 or 600 if i dont smoke that much? all that extra fan noise and space, plus more smell to deal with (more buds))

Not enough info to accurately answer that question... how much space do you have? how much money? how big are you growing the plants? How much cooling power do you have?
