So i just received my seeds in the mail, the first batch i ordered did not show so i ordered again and he gave me 25 seeds for buying 10....mariquanna-seeds.nl
highly recommended

but anyway, so i am going to be growing 10 plants, with a 400 watt hps system, and probably 2 T5 lights on bottom so the bottom gets buds to, but i am wondering i should use my hps and T5's for vegging 10 plants or just the T5's.

im going to be growing 4 bubblegum, 3 blueberry, and 3 mazar =)

hps is always more efficient and effective than flouro. people who use flouro for veg and hps for flowering are doing that because they are doing a perpetual grow with veg and flower at the same time or because they are trying to save a little money because you don;t need as much light to veg as to flower.

so then yes just use the flours, and add the hps when i start flowering?

if i get more yield off adding hps for veg then i will do that to, wat do u think

I get very respectable results using flouros for veg and hps for flower. With my set up...thats what works best for me. Ideally I would do MH for veg and hps for flower and sometimes I do that.

You can use HPS throughout

if you have two setups than use t5s for veg and hps for flower.. i veg with my 400hps and all is good 3 weeks 9 blades and a foot tall..

just me, but i've had wonderful success using hps all the way through. I was using a 430 hps with 30 extra in blue, i don't know how much of a difference that made, but the buld was definitely orange/yellow color. It actually mimicked natural sunlight quite nice... i digress. The point is, you can have great results with pure hps. The internodal space also stays very small if you space the bulb right. I had plants a foot tall with 8-9 nodes. Big fucking bushes.

im using my 400watt hps for veging it just takes like 2 weeks longer is all and it'll really help with bud production in the end

alright coo, and i cut some holes in sides of bottom of cup, i will only leave in them for a lil bit then transplant, also white walls will work almost as good as mylar right?

well the whole closet has white walls, and the closet is 3Wx8Hx6L but i will prob be cutting it in like 3/4s and wall off the 2 feet long, i dont think i need all that room since i prob will only end up with 6-7 female plants. wat u think? should i use whole closet or wall it off to focus the light more.

some people make a cool movable wall that you expand as the plants grow. sounds pretty easy to do with a wood frame holding mylar or plywood painted white.

ya that is actually wat im planning on doing, getting a peice of plywood cut it to the size of my closets width and heighth, then when they grow bigger, move it back, and spread the plants out a little more and put T5's under them

i went to ace hardware yesterday and looked for some t5's but couldnt find them only had 40 watt T12's, are those just as good or wat?
