HPS electrical bill??

could anyone possibly tell me how much i would expect to pay electricity wise with either a 250 watt hps or 400 watt? also, how much of impact would a digital ballast make on the bill? thx, hopefully you guys can help me out

hmm take a look at the back of your tv, how many watts does it use. decide for yourself.

Look at a power bill and figure out your cost per Killawat hour (KWH). For instance mine is 6 cents/kwh. Now a 250 watt takes 1/4 of that or 1 1/2 cents per hour to run my 250 watt. It's on 12 hours a day so it cost me about 18 cents per day or about $6 a month. A 400watt would cost me about $9.50 a month in power. Your cost per killawatt may be higher. People tell me my power is cheap. Hope that helps.

I have a 1000hps and it cost me about 32 bucks a month...I think

i have a cool cab that has a 400w HPS light and ballast with some other shit it cost about 20-25bucks a month
