I have a switchable ballast 150,175,250 and it also can switch to HQI. My question is what does HQI mean and what does that mode do? It seems to get brighter but id like some input.

I have a hps bulb of course. And turn it to max? Is hq1 max cuz that's wat I am trying to figure out

dont you have a book or instructions with the ballast, you will see when the bulb is in if you turn it up or down what the settings are

HQI is OSRAM metal halide models.but with reference to what you said,It is Super power means, let your lights work at 110%
