Hps 600watt

A 315 cmh works awesome for veg. At least get a mh bulb or conversion bulb if you don't have a switchable ballast.

I use CFL's for the first 2 weeks, then use a 600 watt HPS....and even that's overkill for young plants

I went and got a LED light today got advice from the guy in the shop.. I have them in there incubator with the LED about an inch from the lid

600w MH I keep ~18-24" high during veg, depends on age and strength of plant. Don't really need it the first few weeks though, just some fluro tubes is plenty. I keep those ~3-4" away.

depending on the quality of the LED that might nuke them, a good QB or COB setup would be best. What LED did he sell you?

Al let you know there in dark till 8 the box is in the room

i put rooted cuttings directly under the hps .. straight out the dome, in the 77 trays
the well known rule of 600w-->60cm (2 ft) from the canopy dont apply in this case

if i veg under it (18/6) i have to put it even farther because they have 1/3 more light time than in flower ... ( and i always veg a pair of week because i dont grow pure sativa)

around 4 /5 feet from the plants (yes seems high but necessary ) and even a bit higher if several lamps overlap in the room in 18/6

the best is to use a cheap luxmeter to know the right distance every time
look for a value of 10 000/15 000 lux max max
(100 to 150 with the x100 setting of the meter)

if put closer you plant will get very tired and yellow ... the first days of rooting light must be not too strong to allow root formation .. then you can put it a bit closer a week or so later

its a matter of lumens
