oh and heres a cple pics of my veg room which is still under construction, as far as ill be still modifying it. 3 26 w cfl, and ill be adding another 5 26 w , as i get around to it. all clones i pulled of my ladies that are in bud now. they were put in2 the dyi bubble cloner, and 2 are still rooting in it. 1 big bud clone already had explosive root growth in the cloner so i transplanted it to soil. these will be my mothers for future cloning on my next go round. still looking for dry bud estimates for my current grow in my bud room. you'll get + rep for any replies unless u till me to F myself ha

ANY1 KNOW how much load 2 outlets on 1 20 amp breaker can take. right now my setup is runnin on just this:

Lights:
400 and 600 HID HPS hydrofarm ballasts and reflectors, bulbs

Fans:
3 small oscillating fans

Exhaust:
180 cfm squirl fan attached to attic and ran to air cooled hoods, on plugged in2 thermostat from hydrofarm


anyways i got a strip surge protector plugged in to each of the two garage outlets, and ran into the grow. 1 light per surge protector, and fans and exhaust fan plugged in accordingly. all this is of 1 20amp breaker i checked.
The house is built in 2007, and main breaker panel is 3ft from the grow in the garage. a 200amp breaker box. there are plenty of slots still available. I want to add A/C, another HID, and some more load basically on my next run. Looks like i'll be harvesting in about 5 weeks, so im just tryn to figure out how much load can be supported with the 20amp breaker i have now, and iff I do need to cut into my wall and simply get some romex, (12/3 right?), and a new breaker, outlet box, and outlet, wut size should I use. I would love to have a dedicated line that supported 2k of light...a/c...exhaust...and enviromental controlls.

You'll need to know the square foot area of your canopy/grow space and how many lumens per square foot your plants get. Even then, it can vary a lot based on your strains. I have no idea what you'll harvest, but I hope it's bountiful.

interesting link davalaban...althou on the calculation tables it gives u more and more estimated yield as u decrease ur lumens per square footage. If u get 10,000 lumens per square foot, wouldnt that yield more than say 4000 lumes per sq.? If so that link is wrong. But pretty cool still.

Okay 4/30 update. Girls have been flowering for 15days, heres some pics

went to Lowes today, bought some Y Bulb splitters . 3 of em, so now im runnin 6 26 W CFL's in my 2' x 2' x 8' closet veg area. I moved both clones i took out of my DYI bubbler cloner (featured as my avatar pic). I gingerly planted them in soil, leaving them in their orginal 2'' net pots w/ hydroton rock, and packing soil around that. There has been a little of discoloration since the bubble cloner was moved from my HID room to this new CFL room. They also got thrown in to 12 12 and the lil clones started to bud, but now their reverting under 24 / 7 light. I'll post some more pIcs soon. Im sure you all will be responding once my bud starts filling out this month!

Hi this is my first time growing marijuana, I am growing blueberry, Mazar and orange bud. My blueberry is now 28 days old and I would like to know if it's in a good condition or not?
There is also something that is freakin me out, the 2 small leaves at the bottom of the plant turned yellow and are dying I think, is this normal or something is wrong with my plant?

is it me or dose everythink look tiny - are you growing in a pc case or sumthink? if so your plants arnt gonna grow big, and u need a better light then that one! my plants are around the same age and they r alot bigger! and yeah the bottom leafs do go yellow n fall off

well this is my first run w/ new system. Id be thrilled w/ 500g. would love to find away to get to 1g per watt. That would be the shit. Im gonna add another light in 2months next run go for 2k of light, if this turns out right.

Hey marni3d I'm not growing in a PC case, I'm growing in a cardboard box 90cm x 59cm and 175 cm tall. I am using 4 daylight flurescent light bulbs 32 watt each and for the nutes I'm using dyna grow. Is there any advice on how to make my plant grow bigger? and like I said in the previous post my plant is 28 days old and you say yours are the same age and alot bigger.

wicked! now 2k worth of light would easy yeild kilos hehe - its all about space! 1000watts for 1000 grams has sumthing to do with space. my mate grows 2 plants in one big room and gets 12oz's per plant! and thats just two plants! he uses 1 light per plant!

im not expert at growing, im new to this & also my 1st grow! but im pretty sure it has sumthink to do with your lights. in total your using 128 watts of f-light to me its not enough light, if you want a bigger grow your going to need bigger watts! lets say 250 hps at the min to get decent results? i know it can be costly but try and invest in one! my room is made out of sum cardboard, i used the corners of the boxes to make the foundation then i covred it wity mylar inside n out works perfect!

plants love light the more light the more bigger they get! hope this helps

Thanks man I just bought 1 metal hallide 400 watts and it's so F***in strong compared to what I'm using. I will still keep using the 4 floro light bulbs + the 400 watt MH for vegging then I'll switch to 400 watt HPS for flowering. Thanks for your advice.

congrats on the HID blackshark+++++you'll see needed gains for sure. use ur floro's for early veg, and then use them for side lighting. cant go wrong with a 400.

Marni3d for sure big plants= big buds. ya when i add another light, im not planning on too many plants. i have 9 under 2 lights now, and say when i add my 3rd light, i'll just say keep 3 monsters per light. plus my 400 HID is a switchable ballast, its been runnin a HPS bulb, but i plann on switchn that to MH all the way, then runnin either 2 600 hps alongside it, or maybe a my existing 600hps and just upgrade to the 1000w for 2k of light. Have u guys seen that growzilla hood w/ 2 1k lights? wholy shit.

anyways my shits fillin out fast for sure, im even seein crystals start to form in this 3rd week of flower. some dirty bud porn will be issued shortly. still no carbon scrubber, and i dont see any need yet. starting to use Dr. Hornsbys, big bud. 0-0-10-40. any1 know how long they still need N for ? who else uses AN and Grow Micro Bloom and other AN enhancements? would like to get a AN pro's regiment for feeding . also started using Grandmas unsulfered mollassas. PH is in check. still seeing some dying leaves on lowers, and progressive yellowing, but it seems more natural as they get further along. BUmp

Does anyone know how far should a 400 watt MH lamp be from the plant? and what's the best tempreture that should be in the grow room using the 400 watt MH lamp?????

well there isnt a certain highth, different factors influence how low to the canopy u can get HID lighting. So for now place ur hand at canopy level, and if it burns your hand or feels excessively hot, light is too close. Also I would recommend intially distancing HID lights from plants that arent used to it. just for a couple days if your switching from floro's or cfl's, i keep my light at least 2 feet away for a couple of days.
ur grow room should stay between 75-85...when lights go off its good to have a 10 degree drop. you can achieve using higher temps than listed with the use of co2. Get a thermostat/hydrometer...that lets u know temp/ r humidity .
