How's it looking? Harvest soon?

Feel free to share any advice or point me towards a guide that you think is good. I've dried herbs before, but never herb, so I'm open to any and all suggestions!

Edit: My plan so far is to hang the topmost buds from a clothes hanger in an unused shower with a fan circulating the air. I also have one of these that I was planning on throwing the "larfy" buds into, in a single layer, to allow them to dry with a minimum of fuss.

I could really use some pointers on process, like trimming. Obviously I strip away the fan leaves before drying, but what about sugar leaves? Leave them or remove before hanging?

Well i remove all fan leaves and hang upside down in a dry closet prob around 40 to 50% humidity with a fan not directly on bud just to move the air. It should be about 4 to 6 days or untill the outside of buds become crisp but not overly dry then jar in clean jars opening every day twice a day to keep humidity around 50 to 60 % some ppl like 64% i like around 55 once humidity is stable open every day or 2 once a day for about a month then it should be good for long term storage or to smoke oh and make sure the buds are loosely packed so you can shake them around when opening

I think I found the first amber trich. Can you see it, kind of in the middle of the frame there?

Anyway, that's close enough. We're chopping tomorrow.

All good info! I also like a bit of a stoned feeling from my weed. I wasn't disappointed with the high from what I tried, but there wasn't really any "couch lock" feeling. I did forget what I went to the kitchen for twice in a row, though, so it definitely is doing something. :P
When you quick dry you are checking ONLY for high profile. The smoke will be shit. You look at the high profile. If you like it you can start chopping. If you don't like it, wait another week, take a pic of the trichomes and try again!

What's the rush, you could give them another week or two they'd be twice as heavy
That's a good question.

I'd like to harvest her ASAP so I can move the two plants flanking her in that photo into the center of the tent, and then slide those white LEDs down to light the plants more from the sides.

And I'd also like to use this harvest as an opportunity to get a little practical experience before these other plants are ready and I need to harvest them.

Yeah but youd get better quality plus youd get experience for the harvest and patience... the lower buds are prob still clear give it a few more days no rush perfection takes time

Took some photos of GSC buds in a 2 gallon. The lights flipped for these on 12-1-19, so they're like 7-8ish weeks old.
I think they've got a couple more to go, but here's the images as a reference, macro and micro.

I've never understood why to grow autoflowers. In 100 days I can get about 5-6oz. from a feminized photo seed. What's the benefit?
Your bud looks tasty though for sure, nice

It was a free seed, and I wanted to see how it worked. This one in particular was pretty neat, because it had 3-leaf nodes from birth, unlike most pot plants which have only two leaves per node. A mutant!

Going forward, I think I'm going to keep trying with autos in my smaller tent. To be sure, I've seen auto growers boast yields comparable to that. You can put light to it for more than a 12 hour window. It also seems to have a slightly different shape after stretching than the photos I've grown which may lend itself more to side-light setups. I'm also interested in growing them outdoors, because local laws allow me to do so, and I can harvest one midsummer rather than waiting for the fall when outdoor photos are fit for harvest.

that just made me realize a good reason to get autos....i can grow some outside in my backyard in the summer because they will be below the fence and out of public eye. hmm. hmmmmmmmmmmm

I like taking 3 stages of harvest. Mostly milky i call it the 20 min buzz great for getting it on with the old lady :). The mid all milky a few ambers drinks and smoke in the garage with the boys good hour buzz per dube. And 40-50 percent amber sit on couch and play video games. Really worked out for me last grow and ill be doing that again with my sour diesel.D036756B-1AFB-45D8-AB1A-26414CF1F392.jpeg
