Hey Folks

Thought I would say Hi and introduce myself some what prior to posting else where but thought I'd start by comment on the wonderful forum you guys got here, I've spent a bit of time browsing around and theirs lots of useful post and I look forward to learning whatever I can from the forum..

With that said... I've been growing now for a few years (mostly outdoors) but with the summers getting worse and worse every year I've finally decided to give indoor growing a shot. I've successfully grown indoors prior, but only starting clones etc in the spring time prior to planting outside so nothing to serious. So far I've done my learning by reading pretty much anything and everything by both Ed Rosnthal and Jorge Cervantes and then of course theirs trial and error

Anyhow... I had a bag full of Seeds (Strains unknown) they had been collected over a couple years and then sat for a few more so orginally I planted them as a bet, because I was bet seeds were only good for 1yr (well I won the bet) and now have 8 healthy ladies (out of 10 seeds planted) growing under (2) 6500K 100W CFLs Bulbs screwed into a Light/Stand that I made myself at work... I just have to find a place to upload some pictures and I will post my progress shots so far ;)

Okay... Got some pictures uploaded...

Approx 7 Days from sprouting

Approx 20 Days

Approx 30 Days

Everything is doing well so far... Since everything started off as a bet, I just randomly put a few seeds in a few pots in some cheap-o soil mix. Now that everything is health and going strong I will be transplanting all of them into their own pots with proper soil mix.

1 plant per pot, you dont want to mix em up, if you dont have the room use smaller pots, dont mix, have you got a bigger lite a 100watt wont do it you need a 250/400 hps for 6 plants, how long are you going to vegg for. other than that your doing a grand job,

Well, as stated it original started as a bet so at first I did not actually plan on growing anything, was just curious if the 3-5yr old seeds would still sprout (which is why I put 2/3 seeds per point) hoping atleast 1 would sprouted, I didnt expect 2-3 seepds per pot to sprout.

For now, I plan on adding in more bulbs as its currently going quite well but I'm still trying to decide what I want to do HID wise.

how many are you hoping for/ is that your only grow space?.
Well I have 8 now... 4 really strong/healthy where as the other 4 are lagging behind slightly. I still have a load of seeds left and I believe some of them to be a real potent sativa so I'm actually going to plant all the seeds I have, pick out all the healthy or strongest plants and get rid of the rest. The goal in the end is to have 2 potent indica's and 2 potent sativa's.

Space wise, I got all the space I need and will be putting together a 2 stage cabinet so I can have an HID in the top and fluorescents in the bottom so hopefully I can harvest every 6-8 weeks etc...

welcome to the forum. With your experience getting a harvest every 6-8 weeks should be hard. I would say 4weeks or two weeks would be easier for you. Check out "How to Get A Harvest Every Two weeks" posted in this forum by AL B Fuct. Nothing special he just has it laid out nice. VV

it a real easy thing to do , i start with 2 or 3 plant every 2 to 3 weeks. put two in, take 2 out, every 2 to 3 weeks. im just starting to do this , it seems much better, and what you learn in one grow, you can use in your next grow, and vice versa. try it out.
