Hello all.

Just like the title says.
How would you cure 90 pounds of med's?:weed:

I have used jars with good effect and used the brand new paint cans with good effect.:hump:

I was wondering if anyone has got a special trick I am not thinking about.

I found some really nice heavy duty 5 gallon buckets. ( air tight )

Kinda want some input before I go spend $500 on containers.
I know its gonna be a lot of anything.

I am not saying I have that weight, I am asking because I am interested.
But if I did have that weight, how could I get a good cure onit.

After seeing the face of the Ace hardware employee go weird when I asked if they had 500 canning jars I figured I would ask everyone here.

So fire one up and give this 8.5 mins of your buzz.:joint:
Gimmie your comments please.

with a fish tank maybe, if you could somehow seal the top off thats a pretty big amount to cure lol, of those big mason jars, 1.5L i think they are, with the pop tops. but thoses 5g buckets would do the trick, are they plastic? its the only thing that would bother me, taste wise... metal or glass is the way to go.

Hang it up in a room with a dehumifier for w week or so then lightly pack in small totes and burp every day till completly cured. That`s what I`d do.But thats just me.BUT it does work!!

You need a large floor space and some fans. Lay out some tarps and spread the weight around, making sure to keep moving it around. For the cure, I'd use paper bags from the grocery store, maybe a elbow per bag and gently roll top down. You can shake the bags lightly a couple of times per day and burp bags for a few minutes at night.

Good lucj=k...

AWSOME PEEPS!!!!!!!

Thanks for the quick responses.
Keep em comming.

I have had bad luck with Ziplock's.
I found bags that were so big they weighed 71 grams empty.
Bad taste and funky smell.

I was wondering if the plastic was a real big deal.
Is the plastic in a bucket different then the plastic in a tubb?
What would be the problems in one and not the other?, Or is there really no problem with plastic?

I thought about the 15 gallon drums, I cant use the big barrell. There is 14 different strains and I would like to keep them seperate.
PitchFork is a bit rough....But could work in a pinch.
Luvin it.

Does any one have a specific tubb in mind?
I thought that you had to have an airtight container for the cure.
Is there a special way to keep the tubb airtight?

Paper bags huh... I just bought a bundle for hash production, Still the question of airtight comes up. Have you used this proccess?

Have you ever looked into water curing? I think thats what it was called. I don't know too much about it, but a kid on the forums was saying how it only took 3 days and when it was done said it was perfectly cured and ready to smoke. I'll try to find the thread.

No you want to buy from the camping section a air tight 50 to 60 gallon tub ! place it in your darket closet open it about 10 tmes per day and move your buds around with a plastic glove. do not turn on the lights in the cloest for some reason i found out that it can produce mold ! why i still do not know.

Sorry. Cant do that, this is for patients.

I am going to have to check somewhere other then walmart, as they did not have an airtight tote.

Dont like the water cure, I have tried it once and yes its still good smoke. BUT it is the ugliest meds you ever saw.

I am thinking maybe a couple of those space bags you can use to store your clothes.
Grab a couple totes and put them in the bags and suck all the air out. figure the best burping schedule out and go from there.

Any other ideas?

What I do is hang dry until stem snaps/they feel dry on the outside. then to paper bags. Maybe a day or two in paper then into gal ziplocks. And they get burped a few times a day through the whole proccess, and if they ever feel wet/soft to the touch they get dumped into a box and let them dry, then back into a bag.

Oven Bags, turkey sized. it's how the big boys roll. tie knots in the ends, do NOT use twist ties. ;)

all the grocery stores here run out by Halloween. make sure to get them early. they hold a pound each. you'll need 2 cases, ...... http://www.buythecase.net/product/5045/reynolds_turkey_size_oven_bags_19_x_23_12/?utm_source=googleps&utm_medium=shopping&utm_term=Reynolds Turkey Size Oven Bags, 19' x 23 1/2'
