Hi guys. I am a complete newbie in using NPK fertilizer, could someone pls let me know if I am supposed to spray it on the leaves or feed it directly to the soil?

the plants demand different balance of nkp through different stages of growth do some research on cannabis needs throughout the grow seedlings vegg and flower
Thanks I did look up how much npk is needed at what stage and how it benefits the plant. However, I could not figure out whether I should spray the npk mixture on the leaves or if I should pour it on the soil

What are you trying to use, do you have a product on hand? If so, what?
I am trying to find the right ratio in the market, but so far I cannot find it (cannabis plants grow wild in my country- it's like in every corner of the street, but I am trying to grow a few in pots in hopes that I will get better buds). However, while researching I could not figure whether the mixture needs to be sprayed directly to the leaves or if it should be poured into the soil.

An easy NPK for cannabis is like for a tomato.
Matter of fact you can use Tomato Tone or similar.
Even a simple 3-3-3 / 4-4-4 dry fertilizer too.

Better buds come from better enviroment and genetics

Not from a specific fertilizer
Spot on. The best weed I have ever grown was in my garden, in some cheap compost from the garden centre and fed with a fertiliser called Tomorite with some added Epsom Salts. Way better than anything I have produced in my grow room.

Small tip: you need one fertilizer for veg with higher N than anything else. For bloom, you want more P. To more accurately dose your fertilizer, Google a PPM chart and measure the PPM of your nutrient solution to make sure you're giving enough and not too much

Fertilizer should go in the medium so it can be taken up by the roots. I would follow the manufacturers directions.

thank you. that's what i wanted to know
foliar feeding isn't recommended in most cases. you can foliar feed to address a deficiency, but leaves are designed to photosynthesize and transpire, roots are designed to absorb required nutrients...let them do what they were designed to do

You should start with some basic reading on growing cannabis. As for the fertilizer, don't worry about foliar to start. If you have a bag of inorganic fertilizer, start with a very low dose, don't apply it according to the instructions- start with 25% of the recommended dose, or even lower and then see how the plants react. If you tell us more about the fertilizer, we can give a better recommendation.
