how to use dr hornby big bud?

g'day all i recently got a free sample of big bud about 50 grams but it hasnt got very detailed instructions just says to add around a gram to a gallon of nutes this would increase the ec pretty high to what i usually have it set to.....do i mix up weaker nutes to accomadate the big bud additive or do mix the nutes as normal and increase the ec,,ppm to a much higher level when adding the big bud......please anyone who has expierance with this product please respond
