How to tell male and female plants apart at vegetative stage?

Hey everyone, I’ve been growing plants for a few years now, but always had an expert help me with sexing my plants. Due to him moving out of state, this year I’m on my own.
I have 10 plants that are about 12inches tall, and I’m wondering if anyone can give me some tips/tricks to figure out the sex.
I have done my research- balls=male white hairs=female, and I use my phone to zoom in and look for balls, but I’m wondering if they’re still too small to tell.
I included a few photos Incase that might help.

Thank you, it is SO appreciated!!

Need more time. Give it another week and report back with more pics. Can’t tell from the first 3 pics, the last two are the money shots.
Would agree.
Even in the last two, Good spot to look for/take picture of, just try to get little less blurry... Also, Ive seen quite a few newbies mistake stipules for female preflowers or something, Not saying you are but just something to note.

Remember to check each node if one doesn't show. Your plant will have to be mature enough to actually send out the preflowers so depending on age from seed you may need to wait longer for them to show.

You can also cut and then put into flower, a sacrificial clone of each one to check.
