How to sample for microscope?

Hello everyone,

I've got my hands on a microscope with 100x magnifying level, but it is rather impossible to use directly on plant. I've sampled a few little pieces of leaves to check for the maturity of trichromes, and im interested if its possible to sample a piece of top bud for this investigation. the plant's pistils are 70% brown, i'd say, the tricromes on the sugar-flowers are (to my laic eyes) inbetwen the immature and mature (cloudy) levels.
IM very confused as the whole plant has a frost on it and I dont want to ruin my potency due to late harvest.

Help me out fellas, thank you for any input.

There is a technique called "back building". You actually trim the tip of colas. Supposed to promote fattening and minimize height.

Not sure if that helps with your decision making but might be worthy of a Google search.

I usually just trim small pieces of the smaller leaves closer to the bud sites. Take a few samples from different areas of the plant.

order you a hand held off amazon at 40x zoom, that's what I use so you can look all over without cutting your plant up

Hi all, thank you for the replies.

it is a hand held-able, yet even at 60x magnification, I cant hold them still enough to make sense of it.
My normal magnifiers (10x,) doesnt seem to provide any reliable views on whats up

And according to the little leaves I've sampled theyre not yet ready but I'm still not sure wether they have the same characterics as real buds.
