How to quit weed dependency.

I've noticed a big difference between my toking habits and that of my mates.
I grow (occassionaly) for personal use and get a few zips each time then toke myself silly.
My mates tend to buy grams.
Thing is, they seem to NEED their few grams every weekend and stress out if they can't get it.
I can go months without.
Anyone else noticed this effect?

If you believe you need weed to function normally, then you probably do because all you will be doing is thinking about how you don't have weed and how it's lowering the quality of your life. However, if you were to have the mindset that weed is just weed and it doesn't control you and you don't need it, then it'd probably be better for your well-being.

It may seem psycological until you start repeating behaviors and patterns like having to smoke to start your day etc. It's most likely that the individual has no clue that physically there's nothing debilitating going on because the stress we can put on ourselves is insane at times. I spoke with another member here awhile back about slowing down my smoking, self awareness and keeping myself grounded are imperitive to my staying on an even keel sorta speak. It's too easy to abuse chronic medicine cause its soo good but the downside is it becomes lesss effective the higher the tolerance.

Ive been smoking for 11years straight, at least one dubbie a day. Until recently, due to the economy and shit, vive lost some good paying clients for my training business and was fearing the worst;not having my meds.

well it has been a week since i last smoked and it was the easiest thing ever.

So i call your mates panochas

It is psychological. I know many people who can quit smoking just like that and feel nothing except maybe a little inability to sleep or eat as much for a bit, but that's normal.

Weed Dependency for medical users becomes a fact of life . I use Cannabis to ease Neuropath problems and also for pain relief and its anti inflammatory value .. Physically we become dependent but not addicted as that is a mental side of the picture ..

I do know that the tolerance becomes more so with medical users just as it does with recreational users who consume daily .. None the less I doubt I will suffer for the ability to be higher .. I ll just continue to consume a few ounces a week and rotate meds as need be .......

An ounce every few days? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu and I thought I was bad at an ounce every two to three weeks. Start dousing those bowls in globs of thick ass hash haha!

No but seriously, when you get to that level you will become a very grumpy bastard when you try to quit, or even slow down.

Not even close to as difficult as trying to quit other harder things....like f'n cigarettes! But still...it's a biotch.

It is people that act like crack heads for weed that hurt the legalization process... I have been addicted to a few drugs in my day, none of which were marijuana! Sure sometimes when I used to run out you would say "Gee I wish I had a bag of weed right now", check the bank account, nope not till payday, oh well. Any addiction to weed people speak of is purely psychological.

When I take a break or had to for a possible screen the only time I really missed it was when I was bored or watched a movie with pot smoking in it. Other than that it's just a passing thought, and not like a skipping record in my brain.

I used to jog a minimum of 3 miles a day, with hills included. Something my cig smoking friends could never do. Though I ingested more than I smoked then, though I did smoke almost daily.

I"m gonna go with people are different like the dude said above..........

some people have medical issues they need to blaze every day for, some people have psychological inbalances that cannabis balances (such as ADHD in my case) so it depends.

for me, going without my own herb means me being jittery as fuck and hard to be around without feeling the energy transfer to you, with it I can actually act and function like a semi-normal person. it's a pretty easy choice for me. I don't like having that energy gotta move feeling in my gut, smoking cannabis, hashes, etc, every day , removes that feeling. if I only smoke once or twice a week or even 3 times a week, hell even once a day, it wont kill that feeling, only with daily consistent blazing (3 times a day at least) will it kill that feeling.

but it is what it is, when you find something that works and you expirement over the years, do your research and know that it isn't bad for you in the long run over all, then you go with it, grow that shit organically and treat it right and it'll treat you right ;)

I've stopped and started more times then i can count. sometimes for a few months, sometimes a few weeks, sometimes a year. First few days suck but after that its really easy. Then again I don't have an addictive personality.

Did you normally run those 3 miles all at once or did you have multiple sessions?
