Where I grew up you had two choices as parents.. Teach your kids how to shoot safely, or don't and let them go off to learn on their own as soon as they're old enough to bike off the property..

so what, you rent your house to a friend, you have no idea what he is doing there. it won't make a difference because your friend was growing in the rented property instead of a complete stranger.
So what if you get caught with 2lbs of weed, 500 baggies and a scale if you only grow for personal consumption too right?? Baggies were on sale, and you only use the scale for baking right..

That is certainly tragic, but I read about a kid who died playing high school football. No body thinks kids shouldn't play football. Accidents happen, and sometimes children are hurt or even killed. My heart goes out to that family, I don't even want to imagine what they're going through. I don't own any guns, and I'm not a big gun fan. But to say that kids shouldn't shoot guns is like saying they shouldn't play football or go boating or climb trees. You can't keep you kids in their room wrapped in bubblewrap.
take your 10yr old to the range and plink some .22's. when hes 12 let him pump off the 20 guage. thats cool. i encourage it.

but you dont give toddlers assault weapons. you dont let your 8 yr old shoot a uzi.

your comparison of football to firearms is weak. so a kid died playing high school ball. how many kids have been hit with footballs and laughed about it. how many kids have been hit with slugs and told about it?

A kid I knew died via firearm accident, but it was a funny one.. He was one of those dumb-asses that liked to kill things for no reason, and he was on a train bridge with another kid, and he was trying to shoot a bird flying directly below with a 12 guage.. Anyway, he blew his foot off to some extent, and fell to his death..
Really though that was the only one, and there alot of guns.. Farm equipment and motor toys were by far the biggest killers..

its not any diff from renting from someone you dont know..if you get busted its your fault.not your landlords..he may get questioned about it..but as long as he claimes he had no idea..i cant see him getting into trouble..
as long as they have no evidence of him, going into the house,etc...Now put up some lights and lets start growing!!
