How To Prevent Buzzing?

hey all


i was just wondering, i have a 1000w agro ballast and it keeps making a buzzing sound....


does anyone know how to prevent the noise or to get rid of the noise, cause its in my room and its just a tad bit annoying.



any suggestions

hahahahaha....mines like that also...I dont think there's really anything u can do but get used to it.

That might reduce it some...but, I wouldnt wanna cover. Cant afford for it to over heat and cause my light to turn off.

True but its pretty much the only option. If you can figure a good ventilation setup for the box it could work out nice.

I saw a thread on this somewhere here...with proper ventilation you can actually improve the energy consumption, longevity, and lumen output of your light (probably not drastic, but a little). Anyway, it can and has been done, probably many times before. Just do it right!
