How to plug in

Hey all,

Finally moved into my new place and am setting up my tent. I have 2 mars hydro ts1000 and an inline fan. The outlet closest to my closet where the tent is isn't close enough to plug everything in. I was going to get a timed powerstrip for everything but have read concerning things about them and grow rooms. Any advice? Not trying to burn down my new house lol thanks!

Also here's a link to the powerstrip I was looking to buy.

Yeah. Make sure your power strip is a good safe brand and at least 12 inches from the ground to protect from ground hazards

How many actual Watts is each fixture?

The Mars Hydro TS-1000 Full Spectrum LED Grow Bar draws 150 watts at the wall and covers up to a 3'x3' area for flowering. This fixture is ideal for a seedling to harvest grow in a grow tent or in a grow room. Use as primary lighting or supplemental lighting.

So two is 300 watts and what's a fan, 100 watts or so. No problem in my mind to use a powerbar for that. You are right to be wary of them though. If the timer in that powerbar is a piece of shit (it happens) then the whole thing is no good. I like to use the intermatic line of timers. They're cheap and pretty reliable for a plug in. Might cost more to buy a timer and a powerbar though.
