A minor is asking for hlep,Im betting under 18, to commit a crime.........that would get my as tossed in jail too..........he came to wrong place for that kinda help.........
you do not know for certain that he is a minor. you are ASSUMING.

regardless of what he is doing YOU have no right to break the rules YOU agreed to.

everyone here is committing a crime. get over yourselves.

yes poplars, your words are going to change this kid. I agree that he shouldn't be risking his parents by doing a grow BUT he didn't ask if he should grow or not, he's asking how to approach his mom about growing. Is it so bad to tell a kid to ask his parents and respect them if they say no?

Even if you dont agree with him growing in his parents house, just like me and sounds like pretty much everyone else, why not at least try to tell him a smarter way to go about asking his mom rather than just going behind her back? Not trying to hate, just giving you my reasoning. That being said, if his mom lets him then its not just on him, she CAN say no. I would hope his mom would know the trouble that could go with letting her son grow under her roof and if she decides that its fine with her, who are you to tell someone else what they should or shouldnt do? Soes it really bug you so much that this kid in Greece (I realize that's probably not true) wants to ask his mom if he can grow? If it does then I suggest you go smoke A LOT and think about how pointless it is to worry about a complete stranger you will never meet.

Yes, I also know that a "punk" kid growing in his parents house isn't the best look for the stoner community but you really think its not happening all over the world? That's like the government thinking they can win the war on drugs.

Again, no hate, just giving you my reasoning to put in my 2 cents and suggest a "mature" (could be wrong word to use, im stoned) way of going about it. Never did I say he should grow in his parents house without permission.

i am asking for links to some type of backup to this. i know "technically" parents are responsible for their kids, but i'd like to see some REAL LIFE stories. all day long people talk about "get caught and your parents are screwed", so there should be some "screwed" parents somewhere. A LOT of kids get caught growing. it should be easy enough to find some actual stories. google would be a good place to start. ;)
Well I am not going to research something that any person with common sense know that if a minor is caught with a grow op in his parents house that his parents would be legally responsible for the happenings on their premises.

they may outnumber me, but i'm still a mod. i have "chosen" to let it all slide lately, simply to see how far it would go. there is no reason i can't start ENFORCING the TOU.

i respect and appreciate the few valued members who have stuck it out thru all this. i truly hold a lot of respect for you all.

I love it when people have been here for a week, and act like they run the place, with the rules not applying to them.. they say they love this place and will never leave

then they leave 2 weeks later, and never come back.. happens to EVERY girl who has herself in her profile pic! ;)

i'm 32 years old and i'm still my mom's kid...
I'd be asking myself the same question if i were in the same shoes with all due honesty

how did we leap to underage user accusations....or did the poor soul foul up all on their own already?

Not me. I am legal in my state and follow the rules exactly.

Here is the first google subject I found:

Parents of legal grow operations can be charged with felony child abuse under current Colorado law, according to the Denver District Attorney. In June, Denver DA Mitchell R. Morrissey filed felony child abuse charges against parents Joseph Lightfoot (30) and Amber Wildenstein (29) for legally cultivating medical cannabis in the basement of the house that they lived in with their three children. Joseph and Amber were arrested and forced to post $50,000 bond each to get out of jail. They have a preliminary hearing set for Aug. 24 in Denver District Court.

Thats one in Denver.. but I am pretty sure its common sense if the house is not yours and the illegal op is in the premise then the owners are punishable by law.

lol what he meant by we're all committing a crime is that there is no place on earth where cannabis is truly /legalized/

the feds will still arrest you if they feel like it, we all have a pretty false sense of security..

and i am agreeing that yes "they would be legally responsible". but are you trying to tell me they go to jail for it? that they lose their house over it? yet you aren't willing to provide a single link? you made a claim, yet can't back it up? typical RIU flame poster.

EXACTLY! I find it funny when people throw fits over illegal activities. Some states allow you to legally grow for medical reasons, but in the end its still illegal and we could all get busted if the feds felt like it.

uh oh I was hoping it wouldn't come to this.

has anyone ever heard if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all?

I also enjoy when people get so worked up about rules as well. I understand some rules on here shouldn't be broken and a lot of them are to help us stay "safe" from the law. Aren't we all "breaking the rules" the second our marijuana, be it plants, sacks, paraphernalia, what have you, hits our possession?

As I stated earlier, RESPECT, in my opinion, is the biggest factor in the weed game, dont respect the rules, people or most definitely the great green then all the karma will be a bigger bitch than snitches are.
