Have been thinking about it after hearing a few co-workers talking about it, but how do you do perpetual harvests?

always have plants vegging in one area and moving them into flowering room so you are always vegging and flowering and harvesting.

We have 3 people total living in our house so legally we can grow 18 plants, a plants life is usually right around 16 weeks. So what we do is start a seed every week, put a plant into veg every week, and harvest a plant every week. This way we will never go over our 18 plant limit. Some pros about perpetual are: Every week ur drying and curing a new plant, so if u make a mistake, ur only fucking up one plant instead of an entire gro. Also you get to harvest a new plant every week so u dont have to trim an entire harvest at once. Sme of the cons are: WATERING IS A BITCH! Every day you gotta see which plants need watering, and ones that need watering never need the same thing. Also the one a week thing never really works out because u gotta account for bad seeds, unhealthy plants, plants over 8 weeks flowering and anything else that will mess up ur rotation.

I was thinking of running 1 cab that will veg, and clone once my 2nd cab harvests I flip my clones into the 2nd cab, and turn cab #1 into flower....

Not technically as fast as I would like but it beats waiting 3 months....

yea just having a seperate veg room and however often you want to harvest... I just run a 2 month schedual it is easier for me but you can make it whatever you want every 3 weeks if you want, whatever. I am not into production I just have one plant in flower all the time one in veg and a couple clones sitting in the back of my veg cabinet, I pick the healthiest looking clone and cull the other one.. I run a couple cfls in my veg cbinet and a 400whps in a 2.5x3 area

Are you a planner?
Do you think ahead?
Are you a multi-tasker?
Are you a hands on type of guy?
Are you prone to not getting panic/being paranoid?
Have you harvested plants, and grown at least 3 through veg to harvest...
------
If you answered "No" to any of those questions... just stick to growing one or two at atime...
It takes time, energy, know how, patience, to do a perpetual grow...
----------

I clone a mininum of 4 plants a week....
I transplant at least 4 plants per week...
I transfer from 4 from veg [18/6] to Bud room 12/12 every week...
I harvest 4 every week...

Yes, plants are small, once in a while, I skip a week for a reason or another...
I touch every plant, every day...
So, yes, that is a lot of touching, feeling, and watering some plants every day...
I am not saying don't do it, you only know yourself...

So, are you really up to it?

I clone in slow motion right into pro mix in a 2" round pot, after 14-20 days I start seeing noticable growth and leave them in their small pot for a week or 2 longer to build a good root structure by then it's about time to harvest one, move my vegger to flower, and transplant my clone into a bigger pot. I take 2 clones from my vegging plant 1 month in then 2 weeks to root 2 weeks to grow a root ball and by then I have my 2 months and all of my training done on my vegging plant.....fired up, ready to go
how long can I keep a clone in my clone area for?

Just keep taking cuttings and put them in small pots after 2 weeks or roots showing. When the clones are about 10" top them big enough for a cutting, just keep doing this weekly if possible and then you can have a perpetual grow. If you run into trouble with cloning the whole process stops as your source of plants has stopped, there will then be a gap in harvests and customers dont like supply stopped. ;-)

I am on a two to three week schedule my self.
Watering and feeding schedules become a bitch fast. I have to write everything down now, but I am legal so I don't worry about written records.
If you have two rooms and the time and will to run them, I wouldn't go any other way.
Good Luck.

Wow Sandy that sounds like my old schedule.
I had to cut my cloning in half and get rid of two strains due to lack of space, but that's what it takes.

imo simple way i do it is..harvest, clean flower room, move veg into flower, clean veg and pop new beans then repeat. don't wait on days or they will turn into a week or two and that will throw it all off..

i've been growing for 1 1/2 years and i still do not clone due to perfecting portions of my grow..until you've mastered certain technique..you do yourself a disservice by moving on too quickly..then you have to try to fix your plants..just check out the newbie section haha

To those who said they harvest daily ect, how do you hold a job? Lmao or is cannabis your job? :)
Ha... no I do not work... Cannabis is my job, and I have a great co-worker/partner...
and it's a daily deal, I just do different things different days, and everything is fun, so not a job...
If growing was not fun, I would just buy...Haaaaaaa
I love growing, and then drying/cure and then, and then....
Burn....
The enjoyment, of understanding the great head fix you just got, was done by yourself....
