How to not over dry your weed. Slow it down!

Just thought I'd put this here too. Seems like semi pertinent info to some folk.

Headband drying too fast, how to slow it down. Wet trimming isn't even an alternative as I simply didnt have time to trim it all fast enough. I feel drying the whole plant gives you a better dry which leads to a better cure and better meds! My methods really are situational to my location having a very low humidity. Environment will dictate the process!

No offence Chaka but it's 7 mins 24 secs of someone putting some weed in a box and bag, it gave no relevant information and could be misinterpreted by a newbie who ends up boxing their 2 day old harvest and ending up with a box of mould! Sorry I was trying to find something constructive to say about it.

that's total bull shit . commercial growers . can do that stupid shit. they have to cut a wet plant and throw it directly into a trimming machine. and cant do that when it is dry because it will lose all the sexy sugar on it . what you need to do is have a controlled environment humidity around 45 to 60. and dry it over 5 to 6 days. then out the doors it goes. the big boys don't hand trim that shit its impossible .unless they have 6 people in on the deal. no as common .

Total bullshit? Little harsh eh? Hey let's compare what I do to a commercial op because they have absolutely nothing in common! I have no machine, I have no trimmers, I have me!

I let my whole plant dry. Like you, there are times in the year were the humidity here is really low. Not only that, but like you said, better dry means a better cure which = better end result. I like my bud to dry slow so I have a nice smooth smoke. Hopefully some newer members will find use in what you said.

Actually hand trimming is very common still for commercial grows, unless it is in (or shipped to) an area without much competition that has lower expectations. Even the good trimming machines leave bud a bit shaggy from what Ive seen. And yes,for large grows 4-6 people trimming is totally not unheard of, even more for large outdoor grows.

Don't get me wrong Chaka, I understood what you are talking about in the video but I just don't think the newbie section was probably the right section for it? I just have visions of newbies not really understanding and coming back to a box of mould the next day.

I think the other comments in this thread have been a little uncalled for, but respect to you for making the video.
