How to measure wet weight

If you are drying full branches and haven't cut the buds off yet, how do you measure wet weight accurately....or can you?

zat,
weighing the wet weight will include entire branches... what I have always done is taken the total weight removed 15%, this took care of majority if not all or more of the branch weight. so if you weighed everythign and had 400g's I would would take off 15% (60g) and say wet weight was 340g. As stated by claude bawls buds will lose about 75% of their weight in drying and curing. if you had calculated 360g wet you can be pretty close to 90g dry.

There's no point in weighing when wet. What can you possibly learn from it? X% weight loss after drying is just an estimate and will vary wildly. I never weigh anything until it has had at least a 30 day cure after drying.

If you're doing full branches with huge stems it's hard to tell, expect to lose about 78% wet weight normally.

measuring wet weight is such a waste of time. There is no point to it. just wait the few days to dry your bud and then weigh it.
