How to loosen up soil?!?!? Help!

My soil seems a little tight/clumped together. When I try to put my finger down into it I can't. How can I loosen up the soil without disturbing the plants/roots?

Thanks!

Repot them.

A lot of products loosen up the soil like: Perlite, Vermiculite, Peat Moss, etc.

When putting them in the new container, loosen up the old soil by rolling it in between your hands and shaking it being careful not to damage the roots too much.

Just flower them out. It's too late to transplant. Keep a good eye on the plant and water if it is looking wilted. Your pot is getting rootbound, which is not unusual at this stage. The root ball is at it's largest size now. Determine when to water by the weight of the plant. You don't say how big the pots are but a larger MJ plant needs at least a 3 gal to 5 gal pot. The larger the root ball the larger the foliage will get. There is a definite relationship between root to shoot ratios.

It is too late now for the comercial applications, the only way I know how to aerate is to buy earthworms and out them in the soil and they will do it naturally for you.

Thanks guys I will leave as is.. You can check my grow journal in my sig! They are in 5 gal pots. Replanting would be too much of a hastle, and seeing as I'm medicated 24/7 I'd probably fuck something up.

Uh..... your here watching the same thread as I Bro.
School me, why would you say that. All my bud is very healthy. Even my runt recovered and that's the only real trouble I've had since I began. But I've only been serious about it for about a year at best. I do appreciate the good advice I see here.
So thanks
