How to kill thrips

Thrips are pretty easy to kill unlike mites, Rosemary oil as (is pyrethrum) is fairly effective on Thrips and very effective on mites, Thrips start bottom up , they like cooler temps and higher humidity, still air, spray the lower 3rd of the canopy stems, lower leaves etc with rosemary oil 20ml per litre with a few drops of dish washing liquid (shake well). removed the bottom leaves and destroy before spraying. spray just before lights out and allow to dry below lights on. increase air flow with a oscillating fan under the canopy . Start with the environment, blow air through your lower canopy.

once the Crop is finished , nuke the place with 40 ml of 100 % rosemary oil to one litre of water and 5 ml of dish washing liquid. all surfaces.

a side note pyrethrum can and does burn soft growth, rosemary wont if its dry before lights on, run a oscillating fan in the dark

I've used rosemary to kill mites. Works really well. This lead me to reading about bud washing -- got me really curious. H2O2 bath ala Jorge Cervantes and sodium bicarbonate, with a lemon twist. If you spray @RangiSTaxi does it make sense to bud wash after harvest?

Bro if its in flower just ignore it or treat the soil, they hate thc and will stay far away from it when buds are producing, you'll find them all gone soon if you leave it

I recommend dont use rosemary oil on flowering buds at all, catch it early and try treat in veg. If in flower spray the surface of the soil with rosemary oil instead and the walls of the tent, and the very lowest leaves, that wont be harvested, never the bud sites or buds.Sorry I should have made that clear earlier. If you have sprayed the buds already its not the end of the world if its a few weeks before harvest and very dilute, but not recommended.
