You can add garlic; olive oil and dishwashing liquid; (teaspoon at most to a liter) the soap and oil coat the little pricks and prevent the exo skeleton from shedding when they try to grow and aid the pepper sprays effectiveness; I use little red “birds eye” Chili’s as in Aus the peppers originally mentioned not that readily available and they will do the trick just the same....

Has anyone tried the habanero pepper solution with a homemade fogger ? Seems there would be no place for them to hide in a tent. 30 second blast to fill the tent then blast em again the next day etc.

@Growerpl. Looks like what I just found. So I saw some fungus gnats and got some nematodes to deal with them. When I put the nematodes in the soil I found tons of red spider mites going crazy. I ordered some predator mites. I will say, I've been spraying with miticide green (only foliar, no soil drench), soap, cayenne pepper, a few other things as a foliar and I've never seen a mite on any of my plants. Just in the soil. I would say my foliar sprays were definitely working as they aren't touching the plant above soil

Pretty sure I know how I got them. We're having a giant Moth problem and one got into my grow room cause the fam leaves outside doors open all the time. sneaky ass moth made it past a couple of closed doors. fucker

Would othe peppers such as jalapeños work?
I use the hottest peppers commonly available to me, habanero. Works good, doesn't seem to harm or burn seedlings and young clones like some other mite elixirs do.

I use pepper spray on flowers and house plants too.

I don't have any experience spraying bugs with jalapeno, but I gotta think the lower heat would be less effective. I'm usually a pretty peaceful guy, but I like to BURN spider mites and the habanero horse power does the trick. I wear a dust mask and take breaks, fumes can cause runny nose, watery eyes etc., it's potent stuff.

I'm 4 week in flowering and have been fighting these mite fuckers for the last couple weeks, thought I was winning until founnd more today, sprayed them with a simple neem oil dish soap lavender oil spray, but now after spraying a good amount of the pistils have turned brown, should i be worried?, or will it grow new ones as the buds continue to grow, or is it fucked

I've always been told to use neem oil from the old folks but I will try this spray if needed. We have a habanero plant outside now. Found a perfect use for it cause I cant eat that shit. I'd end up like Dumb & Dumber....Pills are gooooood!!!

So the mites seem to be winning, so I'm just gonna cut my losses and salvage what I can from this grow, ...whats the best way to sanitize my tent once it's done...will spraying it down in bleach kill everything 100% or will it just put the little fucks into hibernation

SO, I made myself some of this habanero spray. I used it on conjunction with mighty wash. One this week the other next week. I’d say it did help and with the two my clones were mite free but I didn’t have as much luck with my flowering plants. I mainly doused with mighty wash then came back and heavily hit my all my flowers with the pepper spray for extra kick but no matter what they always came back.

the habanero spray didn’t seem to effect the taste or smell of the buds so that’s a plus but this stuff was super nasty to use. We’re talking long sleeves, gloves, and a respirator. Hoping to have better luck with mites next run.

Would also like to know the answer to this question. I just used bleach before but I’m thinking maybe I should be using some bug killers or bug bombs.
