How to keep lime green color of bud during the cure?

My finished product seems to go dark in color and it loses the fresh taste and smell of good bud when I dry and cure it. My flush is good 10 days plus and I dry by paper sacks for one week till nice and dry and then jars opened as needed.

any ideas? thx

sounds like there is too much moisture in the bud when it goes into the jar. i used to have this same problem and i narrowed it down to the moisture content. i don't understand the drying in paper bags deal. there's no airflow in there. sounds like a recipe for mold.

all right total good suggestion thx. i dry in paper bags because it gets too much airflow in the only spot i have to hang it and the bud drys in like a day and a half. this way i can slow down the dry. bags breathe quite a bit and buds dry in more like a week. i'll definately try drying them more completely before putting in jars.

Yeah, the stems should bend/almost break and outsides should be crispy. Thats when I jar them.
