OK guys ive been on this forum for quite some time, and ive helped several people, this is however is my first real tutorial.
With that said, I wouldn't say I'm the best grower or know everything, but I believe I have a decent amount of knowledge,,and the only thing ive been focusing on latly is 1 question:
How can we maximize trichome production??
This is something all growers obviously are interested in.Now the methods, and facts i'm going to list I know will be scrutinized by some, and discredited by others, which is completely fine. Some of my methods ive come across are pretty controversial, but they all have been researched and tested by people i know,or have talked to,or have tried personally myself
with that said lets get to the good stuff
Basics
1) Plant health- its obvious, but important to state having a healthy plant will produce more trichomes. I try not to throw any plants into flowering unless there all healthy,,plants will not reach there full potential if they are sick. So try to resolve all health issues prior to flipping to 12/12
2) Cool room- having your temp lower in flowering will be conducive to producing more resin.
3) Genetics-(I will talk about this a little later),but obviously you want the best genetics possible to be able to have more potential
4) Carbs/sugars- giving the plant sugars or formulated carb products,,also increase resin production. I personally like to use 1 tablespoon of blackstrap molasses per a gallon, every watering starting 2nd-3rd week flowering. Make sure the molasses is diluted properly before feeding
