I'm pretty sure that doesn't work. In fact, I'm pretty sure that will give you a bunch of hermie seeds. Personally, I have no idea, but I've been seeing a lot of threads stating that is not the way to produce feminized seeds. Rather you pollinate a completely separate female with the pollen from your hermie. Like I said, I can't take credit for this information, so you might want to look up some more info if you can find it.

And to answer your question, I know there are ways to cause a normal seed to hermie, like brushing almost pure silver on some part of it, but I don't know if it works for auto-flowering plants. Wish I could be more help but since no one else has replied I figured I'd at least give you what I got.

Since the plants arent sensitive to light changes, the old trick of 6 hours on off for a few days wont work........ (or shouldnt work I should say!)....... Dont be too upset on the autoflower yield, its what they are supposed to do, tons of small little plants but in huge numbers add up. Well, add up to expensive seeds, so *shrug*.

no self pollinated hermies make more hermies and pollute the gene pool
That's true, a hermie begats hermies.

But if you spray a true female with colloidal silver, it will cause it to hermie and self pollinate.
This will result is feminized seeds.

So i can make auto fem beans if i got myself some colloidal silver :-)

Or you could puchase "The Doggies Nuts Seeds Big Bad John" an auto with the ability to pop back up after it has died. Seems pretty bad ass.
