How to heat the trailer.

I'll try to keep this brief and to the point. I am currently occupy an approximate 900 ft mobile home. I have a 10x10 running 4 - 1000w lights, with an additional 5x5 with a 1000w. The furnace does not work and -25c temperatures are coming in November and nights will soon be below zero. I am debating if replacing the furnace is worth it as this trailer is not lived in. Other heating options are being considered but electrical heating is to expensive in my opinion. Propane heaters seem like a possible option but also don't seem like a good solution in regards to monoxide issues possibly and supplying propane, I just feel nervous about one. It would be nice to run the 4 - 1000w lights for heat but they are only set to a 12/12 and the 5x5 is 24/0. The lights come one at night which is currently helps the heat stay at temp but the days will be below zero in November. I have a friend who does HVAC and can install a furnace but the cost is still $1500-2000. The furnace will need to be replace because replacement parts are not available. If anyone has some suggestion or advice I'm open to it.

With proper insulation a small wood stove would work fine. As for your lights, the ones on 12 hours would help when on. When off you can vent the hot exhaust from your 5X5 to the intake of your 10X10 so in essence you can use that heat from that light twice, once in it's tent and than vented into the tent that is off. You could set a fan to blow the air only when your lights go out. Just a couple ideas for you to kick around. Good luck.

Short update. The heat from the 4 - 1000w is being used to heat the trailed to 70f, and venting outside when heat is reached. this should help for now. Furnace will likely be getting replaced, only advantage with that is i can make it ac ready for next year.

If you have the space add another flower room set on opposite cycle. If you cant for some reason is splitting up the 4k watts into 2-2k rooms an option?

If none of that is an option, then an electric oil radiator type space heater in the grow room on a thermostat is best option. Insulate the grow area as best you can and it prob won't kick on very often. There is no need to heat the whole trailer if you don't live in it. I like those heaters because I feel they are safest. I have thought about gas or wood before but what happens if you got negative pressure pulling smoke or fumes back into the building. Also for gas you definitely needed a vented type heater if you go that route, the non vented ones are not plant friendly.
