I found after trial and error that personally I think making loops with zip ties and then you can just hook and unhook the lights anywhere you want in your tent. I have these all over just as hook of points. Does anyone else do this? Does anyone know something better than this? I hope this helps people.

Do you like those winch dealys? I try to avoid using them. I always feel like the metal clasps are going to come loose after an early accident with a light smooshing a seedling...
I don't know which part you are referring to. But I've never had any issues with these.

A zip tie can fail and you can bump it off a s hook.
That makes sense. That’s why I don’t like s hooks. I have been using zip ties for hanging hvac so it’s super think and super strong I could hang from it myself and I weigh 200 lbs

I go no winch when they are normally hanging and then when I need a different height I attach them

The metal sheet bit that clamps to form the loop that the caribiner is attached to.had one snap in half, but gotcha. I still have a big box full of them, seems like most lights come with 6

The crimp. Yeah I can see that possibly happening but you could check it before you hang it. If it slipped just put it in a vice or a clamp to squeeze and fix.
