Hellohello

Im having this problem, run off is flooding my grow, so I put the fabric pots sitting on a shower towel, but I think its still too wet.

Can I put them in a tray and let them reabsorb the water? Whatelse can I do?

You can either buy this pot elevator made specifically for that https://www.google.com/search?q=pot+saucer+elevator&client=firefox-b-d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi7wuvKoYj3AhXnsIsKHb2GDE4Q_AUoAXoECAEQAw&biw=2144&bih=1004&dpr=0.9
Or improvise with some grills, plastic grid, bars etc.
I used a smaller tray, flipped it upside down and drilled holes.
I was thinking about that too, but the water would still drip on the floor. Maybe I could put the plastic grid on a plastic tray, but the water would still sit there and I would have to manually get rid of it

Yes exactly, grid on the tray so the bottom of the pot doesn't sit in water.

I don't like removing the tray manually either but i don't have a wet vacuum for now, i might buy it just because of this. I use a deep tray so i don't spill when taking it out. Unless you do some DIY flush system with pipes and drains, there's no way around it :D

Yes, I think for now I will use an riser and tray because its easy, but I have some PVC minitube sitting around, in the future I will plug it in the tray and make a self drainage system with a bucket and a pump as saw on the link.

If I get a bit of run off it's no big deal they suck it up pretty quick
I thought the same thing. Gave my plants a funky disease look. Only the ones I let sit in runoff. At first I didnt know what was wrong. I learned what I did from a fellow riu memeber. But that was only after I killed them worse by throwing shit at them that they truly didn’t need.

these are cheap and what I use. You can use whatever you can make work but it’s hard to beat these for 20 bucks. I’m far to invested to make that mistake again

You'll attract fungus gnats with the quickness too, on top of the rootzone lockout issues.

I would just buy a corrugated PVC roof panel for 20 bucks (2x8ft), and cut it into little sections for the pots to sit on. Better yet just make an entire slanted table top from it, whatever size you need, that drains down into a gutter/container, off to the side.

Riser and tray, or shop vac the runoff(that’s what I usually do) need a new shop vac burnt the motor out in mine the other day vacuuming up a tent post harvest.
