how to get rid of mites between cycles?

the title pretty much says it all, hows got the answer? or atleast a system they use

how bad is the mite problem?

I use a vacuum. It works well. That is more what to do when there are mites at the end. I leave the bud attached to the stem and it is still fairly strong.
