Ya I figured it should work, I just don't have anything to try it on. lol, I remember doin that as a kid. The buds he did looked really cool, its ashame it fucked up the burn, and taste. I wish that someone had tryed some of the other ideas, and posted pics. I think just for the fun of it, I'm do some experiments with my next harvest. Try couple things, for taste and color, just to see what happens.

yes you can dye your buds diffrent colors if you want to ffd2blk just did a thread where he dyed one blue and yes it turned blueish and he said it smoked ok...but yeah I like my lime green with bright orange hairs

Lol that thread was over a year old, we were discussing it earlier in this thread. He also said that it didn't smoke ok, he stated that it burn all black and "tasted like poop". Thus making it a bad idea. I was only interested in the whole thing from the novelty of experiment.

So an update on some purple I found. I had like 7 plants I started the seeds on this spring, and then just stuck them in the woods when they were like 7-8 inchs tall. Just some bag seed, I checked them once like 3 months ago, and 3 had gotten eaten by deer. Well I went back out yesterday, and went lookin for them. At first I couldn't find any trace I figured the deer had finished the job. Then I turned aruond and sitting about 1.5 feet off the ground, was 1 two inch long bud and like 3 fan leaves. All of which had turned dark purple(its been cold here at night for the last 2 weeks). It must have been herm, or one of the others was alive untill recently, because it was full of seeds but it was still very pretty. I dryed it and smoked it last night, got 2 bowl packs, and like 25 nice looking seeds lol. Got a little high, but I don't think it was done, but I didn't want to leave it for the deer either. Sorry no pics, my camera battery was dead, and this site hasn't been letting me upload any pics, not sure y.

Lol not yet, but if I had the option, I wouldn't even think twice about moving there. I've been fortunate enough to have been able to spend a good amount of time there growing up. I used to live about 35 minutes from the border up in NY. I would go over there 3 nights a week for awhile, to party in Niagra falls. I've moved since then, and have only been able to go up there ike once a year now. We went to Toronto for 4/20, it was great. They have a whole nieghborhood up there dedicated to the marijuana conterculture. Seedshops, cafes (where you can smike and get edibles), headshops, and we went to a giant smokeout, right in downtown Toronto. There was well over 1000 people, and about 20 cops. The cops just hung out about 100 yards away incase anybody got crazy and caused a problem. And what can I say about the buds....they were plentiful, and killer. lol thats why I wanna move to canada!!! Its a fucking great country!!!

This will not work at all, the sugars are complex and can't be absorbed through the roots.

Maybe a foliar spray but it would definately burn terribly, think carmalized and burning sugar.

Buy a can of electric purple spray paint

Spray it into a brown bag, and breathe in and out into the bag, then, your weed will look purple, and so will your face.

I did say minus the sugar. But the colors already there and the flavor might seep into the nugs. Don't they do that to buds for pictures in High times. They use food coloring instead of cool aid to enhance the look of the weed. I'm probably wrong but there's nothing new with that.

I highly doubt that hightimes would even consider dyeing the buds for their photo shoots. I have never seen anything but top quality info in that mag, and it would greatly surprise me if they were doin stuff like that with out telling people. They just have access to the best buds in the world bro.

go back in the thread twistd, and there is a link to a project that FDD2blk did. He used food coloring, and it changed the color alot, but he said that it smoked like "poop". The best ways to get the purple(if you have to have it) are simply get a TRUELY purple strain, or lower your night time temps to like 45-50 degrees at night, to simulate the fall weather.
